Mr Lloyd Bender is a distinguished consultant ophthalmologist based in London who treats both adults and children. His areas of expertise include paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus (squint), neuro-ophthalmology, watering eye, amblyopia, and ocular motility disorders. 

Mr Bender, who consults privately at the renowned Moorfields Private Eye Hospital and at Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital, has a demonstrated commitment to excellence in ophthalmology. He originally qualified from the University of Cape Town in 1991 and completed specialist training in London, after which he accomplished two prestigious fellowships in paediatric ophthalmology and in strabismus at Great Ormond Street Hospital and in Melbourne.

With ophthalmic clinical and surgical proficiency, Mr Bender has held consultant posts at several renowned eye care centres internationally, notably The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. ​Mr Bender, who also holds an MD from the University of London, is an esteemed fellow of both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists as well as the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists.

Furthermore, Mr Bender's specialist engagement extends to active participation in public associations, and he also annually volunteers for eye surgical missions in Honduras.
