I am so, so pleased that I went to see Professor Zoe Winters. She is a highly dedicated, fierce, kind and inspiring professional (with a great sense of humour). I have felt confident that I am in safe hands from diagnosis all the way through to surgery after-care. It's hard not to go over the top with the nice words about her, so some more practical/concrete things: -I never felt rushed by her. Professor Zoe is detail-orientated, explaining her thinking, her investigations and always ready to answer any questions. She sent great notes and also up to date research when I had questions. -Her surgical handiwork is very neat and tidy and she wants her patients to be happy in their bodies. -She has a network of esteemed specialists to whom she can get quick referrals. -At my first appointment, I did not feel dismissed due to 'young' age - she took her time with me anyway. This did not match previous experiences and I will be forever grateful. -The one stop clinic is excellent - to be seen for everything you may need in the one afternoon makes a massive difference to the information flow and diagnosis process. -Her close team is awesome - clinical nurses Helen and Angela are kind, approachable and knowledgable, and Jenny the practice manager is extraordinarily efficient and helpful. Together with Professor Winters, they fight to get you what you need, which takes a huge mental load off during what can be a stressful period.

If you are considering booking an appointment with Professor Zoe Winters, do not hesitate. I wish that I had spoken to her months ago. Whilst talking to Professor Winters; she explained so many aspects of breast cancer that I had not known, it was really reassuring and it also meant that I could stop all the googling, which I have been guilty of for the past few months. I felt total confidence in the various aspects as she described them to me. It is very frightening to have a great cancer diagnosis, but when you are able to listen to and discuss all of your fears with an expert; it definitely helps to lift the constant worry and uncertainty. I was also able to have an immediate ultrasound scan. I am also so very grateful for the prompt letters and communications that were sent to me within a couple of days. It was an exceptionally good appointment and I cannot thank or recommend Professor Winters enough.

We initially went to see her for a second opinion. We found her extremely professional, knowledgeable and caring. She takes her time to explain to you in details your case and answers all your concerns. Her follow up is amazing. She only operates if needed and is a very gifted surgeon. Prof. Winters is the best of the best. We recommend her wholeheartedly and without any hesitation. Don’t waste your time seeing anyone else.

Professor Zoe Winters has been an absolute lifesaver (and for once I use this term without hyperbole) in treating my sister who was diagnosed with early stage young onset breast cancer. We found Prof Winters after facing difficulty in getting timely treatment through the NHS, and knew from the first meeting that our care was in the hands of a real expert - someone not just capable and competent but someone with great compassion and kindness too. In our circumstances we were self-paying and Prof Winters always kept mindful of that fact, helping to minimise our expenditure without compromising on the standard of care that she provided. Her wonderful practice manager Jenny Hoyle was absolutely outstanding in supporting our transition post-surgery back into NHS care. I could not recommend Prof Winters highly enough, she is exceptional in every regard and a true superstar for the people she has helped.

This was my second meeting with Zoe, for a 'peace of mind' check up, and unfortunately, this time the ultrasound highlighted a potential issue, which had not been visible in the mammogram. Zoe took time to explain what the issue was and what the possible treatment options were, and gave me plenty of time to ask questions and voice concerns. At all times her explanations were comprehensive and clear, and each stage was followed up by a detailed written report. The procedure itself went as planned, as did the follow up consultation. I am thankful that not only has the issue been resolved, but that Zoe was also extremely helpful in general health advice, which I will endeavour to follow. I am pleased that I found her, and will continue to have regular check ups with her. In a world where consultants are very often distant and lacking in empathy, Zoe is a refreshing exception. She has a great sense of humour, warmth and compassion, whilst still remaining totally professional. I would recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone needing a breast surgeon, she truly is outstanding

What a woman! I don't think I've ever had such a comprehensive and thorough consultation in all my 41 years. Professor Zoe was kind, thoughtful and explained the process in detail. She took the time to understand my medical and my family history making suggestions and referrals which have been sent already and are extremely helpful. I felt at ease, well looked after and, most importantly, cared for at a vulnerable time when my stress levels were high. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Professor Zoe, she was brilliant.

Professor Zoe Winters was incredibly thorough and informative and made me feel I was in very capable hands. The one stop clinic is brilliant as you can have a full consultation and examination, mammogram, ultrasound, and if needed, biopsy all on the same day so a very quick and conclusive diagnosis.

Prof Zoe Winter was recommended to me by a friend who had also recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, as absolutely brilliant. In our first consultation I immediately felt that I was in deeply expert, professional and caring hands. Prof Winter explained everything in great detail and her accompanying senior nurse Alex Olayu was extremely supportive covering before and after consultations to make sure I was as clear, reassured and comfortable as possible. The breast cancer diagnosis was the most frightening episode of my life so far and there are no words to describe my gratitude for Prof Winter and her exceptional team and colleagues for how they have gotten me through this. The referrals to plastic surgeon and oncologist that she set me up with were also outstanding and the whole team works seamlessly all through. I especially appreciated the research papers that were provided to me to support my understanding of the cancer, and the many extra steps that Prof Winter took to ensure that the treatment plan was the best possible and no stone was left unturned. Professor Zoe Winters made me feel at ease straight away and took comprehensive details of my medical history. She explained the make up of breast tissue and gave guidance on how to check thoroughly, in lay terms that anyone could understand. She made sure I had access to all the appropriate tests and followed up with detailed results very quickly (I received my biopsy results at the weekend which was a relief). I would strongly recommended seeing Zoe to anyone with concerns.

I had the privilege of being under the care of Professor Zoe Winters from May to Mid June 2023 , and I can confidently say that she is an exceptional consultant breast surgeon. From the moment I stepped into her office, she had a remarkable ability to instantly put me at ease during a time of great worry. We were recommended to go and visit Professor Zoe Winters at a time of huge worry after a Grade 3 breast cancer diagnosis, by a personal friend who had experienced her expertise many years ago - we have travelled literally hundreds of miles to get the care, but it has proved to be the best thing we could ever have done! From the first visit through to my surgery for full mastectomy, Zoe covered every avenue possible with in-depth detail and thorough testing and she has consistently put me in touch with the best contacts to help me on the next leg of my cancer journey. There was always a palpable sense of calm in the room at every appointment, as well as lots of laughs! She exuded a fabulous mix of professional knowledge and kindness and empathy at every visit, coupled with a brilliant sense of humour, all of which are needed (and much appreciated!) at a time of intense personal pressure in your life. It's not often you come round in recovery from surgery to find your surgeon at the foot of your bed, but Zoe was there for me both before and after, which I hugely appreciated. The whole concept of the One Stop Clinic is absolutely brilliant, with same day imaging and biopsy facility amongst other services - no long waits to get results, which hugely helps with anxiety management during a stressful time! There is a incredible Team Zoe feel too and that is very evident at every appointment - her personal secretary, Jenny Hoyle, was incredibly efficient and helpful at all times and Breast Cancer CNS Angela Hawkins, was a huge support both practically and compassionately in all my appointments with Zoe, whilst providing a steady stream of welcome humour! We personally witnessed Professor Zoe taking the time to thank her support team whilst working under high pressure and often very tight schedules - this might seem a small thing, but it didn't go unnoticed. Zoe has an incredible skill set of scientific knowledge and surgical expertise which she is constantly updating based on current trial data and studies - this is something that personally we found very reassuring, at a time when we didn't quite know where to turn for help and it's evident she has made it her lifelong passion for which we are deeply thankful to her for. In short, if you are ever in need of a top quality breast surgeon or breast care advisor, you will definitely prove some or all of the above if you make an appointment to see Professor Winters and her great team. I have lost no opportunity in recommending her and the One Stop Breast Clinic service since our own extremely positive experience. Thank you so much Zoe and to your fantastic support team too.

I had two problems that I consulted Professor Zoe Winters for. I had previously done a lot of research on breast specialists. I wanted the best and I found her. It was the most thorough consultation I have ever had. She was professional and knowledgeable but was also caring, empathetic and makes you feel as if your time with her is as important to her as it is to you. When I have the follow up surgery, I will go feeling completely confident, reassured and safe in her hands.

Having suffered with cyclical and non cyclic breast pain and tenderness for many years I wanted further investigation to identify any underlying issues especially as I am now 71 I spent time researching and although Professor Zoe Winters clinic is an hour away from my home I felt the one stop clinic she and her very competent team provide would be the best solution for me. I made the right decision Professor Winters made me feel at ease immediately,she asked the pertinent questions and invited me to raise any issues of concern,this was followed by a breast examination a mammogram and ultra sound, I left the clinic with a very detailed plan to help resolve my discomfort, later that day I received all of the information discussed by email. I was diagnosed with breast cancer when I went for a routine examination with Professor Zoe Winters. I cannot describe the overwhelming sense of anxiety I was suffering. But Professor Zoe was kind, caring and clearly an expert in her field and I was incredibly lucky to have had her as my surgeon. The journey was explained throughout and she spent so much time, above and beyond what would be normal. But she did it because she's that kind of person and she knew I was suffering. The result of the surgery is excellent, I'm so pleased with no complications, but then I knew there wouldn't be with Zoe's gentle touch. I cannot thank her and her team, nor recommend her highly enough. The lord was looking down over me when I was looking for a check-up.

I was recently seen by Professor Zoe Winters at One Wellbeck to investigate lump near my breast. I was immediately put at ease by her warm and empathetic manner. She is incredibly knowledgable, caring and professional and explained every aspect of breast health in detail. I was very fortunate in being able to see Professor Zoe Winters in her One Stop clinic at the Chelsea outpatients. The experience was a completely positive and impressive one. Prior to the consultation the topic of conversation with other patients in the waiting room was all about what a wonderful doctor everyone had found her to be. On meeting her, I completely understood why her patients have such faith in her. She took a comprehensive history, actively listening and taking care to explore of all my symptoms, relevant medical history and concerns. Her approach was thorough, evidence based and holistic and her attititude warm, empathic and reassuring. She elicited the possibility of a genetic predisposition in my extended family to various malignancies, including breast cancer. Happily the examination, mammogram and ultrasound all confirmed that my breast lump was likely to be benign. In addition to her prompt and thorough assessment of my breast lesion, she discussed with me (whilst citing the relevant evidence) the advisability of genetic referrals for some of my family members and how the safety of Hormone Replacement Therapy can be optimised. Following the consultation she arranged for the clinic letter, imaging reports and several relevant papers to be sent to me very promptly. I found Professor Winters to be an excellent clinician who has a patient-centred and holistic approach. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, empathic and kind. I have no reservation in recommending her wholeheartedly.

I completed treatment for Breast cancer in 2020 and I was looking for a clinician to help with follow up treatment and information. Prof Winters is a consummate professional. She took her time to explain the reasons for my concerns, her manner was reassuring and extremely knowledgeable. The detail is impeccable. It turns out my concerns where not unfounded. She arranged for imaging and a follow up and I was completely armed with information to enable me to make better decisions in future. I cannot express enough the difference this has made moving ahead. Jenny Hoyle made the booking process easy and details of costs self funded or insurance was made very clear. Professor Zoe Winters is a complete breath of fresh air and I am so relieved and happy that I decided to go and see her at the "One Stop Breast Clinic" Prof Winters totally listened to my worries and fears and asked way more questions about me and my health than an GP has over the years. this was actually the very first time someone was not more concerned with spending time typing in info on the computer, she really listened. Having has severe breast pain for much of my life, these last couple of years, with peri-menopause creeping up, the pain has been horrendous, and after a previous mammogram at St Georges, where I nearly passed out and burst into tears, with zero concern or empathy for the staff, I was extremely worried about going. Prof Winters has given me so much information and help I wouldn't hesitate to seeing her again. Having the mammogram and ultrasound there and being talked through everything, was absolutely brilliant, and totally put my mind at rest. I am assured that I have had a far more thorough examination and all the advise and help I could possibly have, and absolutely brilliant service and experience, thank you Prof Winters, for everything!

From the first consultation I could feel that I met the right doctor. Prof.Winters is not only a fabulous medical advisor but also she is a good carer. Medicine the way it should be! My first visit to Professor Winters this week was nothing but impressive. She was knowledgeable, friendly, interested and sharp as a tack. I left feeling in very, very, capable hands and only wished I had met her years ago. The 'One Stop' concept is also a refreshing and efficient one. I went in for a consultation and left 1.5 hours later having also had a mammogram and an ultrasound. I had the scan results before leaving the hospital, and a summary letter from Professor Winters in my in-box later the same day. I have a complicated medical history with far too many 'so-so' medical experiences; this was this complete opposite of those and in fact a new bar has been set.

I was fortunate to see Prof. Zoe Winters last week following a brief but worrying breast concern. Appointment arrangement was efficient and informative both at the hospital and with Prof. Winters’ practise manager, Jenny Hoyle. Despite being a very busy Consultant, Prof Winters’ manner and calmness was greatly appreciated, especially when visiting a hospital with a worrying concern. I approached my appointment with Professor Winters in a very nervous state, but her wonderful calm and empathetic approach put me at ease straightaway. She was not hurried and I felt that she was looking at my health as a whole, and not just focusing on one aspect. I would highly recommend Professor Zoe Winters as a breast consultant. Here's why: 1. Empathy: Professor Zoe Winters and I immediately hit it off the moment we meant. Any hospital appointment can seem daunting and intimidating at first, but Professor Winters quickly made me feel at ease with her warm and empathetic demeanour. She asked me questions in a friendly and non-judgemental way, laughed at my jokes (!) and listened to my concerns. With any consultant, it's so important to establish trust upfront and Professor Winters nailed it. I also got the sense that she genuinely cared about my health and wellbeing and really wanted to help me. 2. Extremely knowledgeable and informative: Prof Winters demonstrated deep knowledge and passion for her work. She gave me extremely helpful advice -- and in an accessible and understandable way -- which made me feel more confident about my situation afterwards. "Knowledge is power," I recall her saying, which is true. Prof Winters even followed up with me by email suggesting academic papers to read. 3. Patient and thorough: Hospital and doctor appointments often feel rushed. But not with Prof Winters. She took her time to listen intently before offering advice. She was very meticulous with my check-up and ensured that all areas and questions were covered before letting me go. She really is a role model consultant and I can't vouch for her more!

I went to see Professor Zoe Winters on 3rd Sept for the first time. My previous consultant was no longer practising and I had to choose a new consultant. When I met Zoe I found her kind, reassuring and immediately felt at ease. She was very thorough, and took her time to answer any questions I had. After the appointment she sent through articles so I could understand my treatment more and also recommended me for further scans to monitor me going forward. I am totally indebted to Professor Winters for the high level of support she gave me both in the early diagnosis of my breast cancer condition and in the surgical follow up. At all times I felt confident that I was receiving from her the highest level of involvement in my case. Prof Zoe Winters: Service and clinical excellence. If you have ever been in a cancer clinic or about to attend one then you know how nervous and emotionally draining the process can be. But be rest assured if Prof Zoe Winters is who you are lucky enough to be assigned to. I do not want to talk about what I thought of her, because she’s an excellent, very qualified and experienced doctor. Rather what I want to do is share my experience, so readers can relate to what I felt on arrival and how I felt on departure and my experience during the stages, so people in my situation can know what to expect. As soon as I entered her office, I was met with a warm greeting and confident smile. I knew I was in safe hands. I was in the presence of someone who knew how I was feeling. The nervous feeling went away, which meant I could speak freely about what I felt the problem was. I was greeted with a big hello and smile “ tell me Kofi how can I help you today she said. I am here to listen, so we can map a way forwards. My notion of “ Safe hands” was reinforced. My apprehension was replaced with positivity. And hence I found myself smiling throughout the whole process. I felt incredibly safe. I found her very clinical approach from examination to diagnoses quite thorough. Not only was she looking at my genetic history from the information I had provided, but also other possible indicators and markers. She was writing down everything I was saying and she asked so many questions. Almost writing a chapter of my medical life of a book “Would it be be ok to examine you so we can have an idea of what is happening ?“ she asked. The physical examination was thorough. Again done with so much dignity and reassurance guiding me every step, in the was what she was doing. What she was looking for and why. I had some pain but her “vocal anaesthesia” was helpful, because she kept alerting me before applying any kind of pressure during the examination. Mentally signalling that there could be some pain. The third stage of her obvious comprehensive medical investigation led me to do my scans. “I strongly suspect something” she said to me. She explained what her suspicions were and backed it by the symptoms I was presenting, her experience and some literature. However let’s do some scans that will be investigated by the radiologist, this will give us a clearer honest picture. It will help us understand better. Then we can then find a way forward that will bring us the best outcome and care thereafter. “ If you just wait outside someone will call you shorty. All that sounded good to me. HOWEVER what made the big difference was her use of the words“ US” and “ WE” which suggested to me that I was not alone in whatever the findings were going to be. I could tell the tones of reassurance and good practice in her voice, again magnifying how safe and reassured I was feeling. Every step of the way she is reassuring me and letting me know I was in safe in what she was doing. How are you so positive and upbeat ? Are you like this all the time I asked her ? Yes she said, this is what I am trained to do. To help and assist in finding solutions to complex problems so we can keep learning and evolving everyday. Her experience and obvious in depth knowledge of the subject matter became rather clear and evident when the scans confirmed every thing she “ had suspected” earlier to the letter. Then came her explanation of the diagnoses and the medical reason for that diagnoses. At that point I already knew I was in good pair of hands and in the presence of an excellent medical doctor. Not only does she take you through treatment options but then performs a balancing exercise on why she has suggested the said approach, the pros and cons. Then she backs with some statistics and evidence to support why she has said that. As if that was not enough she said “ we will keep looking and checking from time to time to make sure nothing has changed so we do not miss anything. I left her office feeling safe. That probably explained why I had my lowest 3 blood pressure readings in years which happend to be after leaving a cancer clinic. Should have been the opposite. That was the result of her contribution that had had an effect on my experience. I do not know who will read this but I can assure them that if you have reason to see, speak, consult or to train under this remarkable woman then your life is changing for the better because you are not only in safe hands but also heading towards what will be a through and comprehensive medical investigation. She will not rest until a solution is found. In her own words again “ this is what I am trained to do Kofi. To search for answers through the practice of good medicine with the support of staff and technology’ and I will not rest until we have found a solution. I will do all the necessary paper work and make sure that you will get the best treatment possible, care and the follow up that will come with it. With that I said thank you left her office with her words ringing in my ears. So significant that I remembered enough to be able to quote her verbatim. I believe that I was in the presence of one of the most intelligent minds in the world. Good practice is not just the consultation and diagnostics process, but also how you made the patient feel. Most noticeable also was how she talked to her staff and the nurses who assist her: with so much respect and recognition. What she showed me was a combination of clinical and service excellence. She went beyond technology and expertise by addressing my unique needs and ensuring that she attended to me in a way that made me feel safe. Her approach was effective and efficient. I have 9 incredibly good doctors in my family so I can tell a good Dr when I see one. I can also tell high clinical standards and excellence when I witness one. Her interpersonal skills are incredible and her patient management is excellent. I await with to see her name flash up somewhere soon because it’s only a matter of time that she will a receive a global medical award for something outstanding or something close to that because I believe I was in the presence of a great medical mind. So my suspicions were right from the start. I was in safe hands and I left feeling better than I arrived. I believe that is what good medicine is all about. I will wait for however long it takes if that is what it will take to see her for my follow up. The wait will most certainly guarantee my safety and good treatment. You are an angel in the form of a doctor. Were my words to her as I left her office. And she said thank you and the nurse smiled. For anyone reading this if you find yourself in her care you are very lucky. Not only is she is a remarkably intelligent doctor but also she embodies the medical description of who and what a doctor should be. A real testament to the medical profession. KOFE

I am so grateful that despite having recently moved out of London, I was referred to Prof Zoe Winters at her one stop breast clinic at The Lister Hospital. After the initial shock of finding a small lump in my breast Zoe looked after me superbly throughout. I count myself so lucky for being assigned to Professor Winters for my treatment. Right from the start she was absolutely honest with me, but at the same time as being firm and forthright she was very very caring and you could see that she had a natural empathy for how myself and my daughter who accompanied me on every stage of treatment, felt when she explained the next stage and why it was necessary. I had the added difficulty of implants which had leaked and calcified over the years which she removed at the same time as the cancer, she was the first person who I felt really understood how having these had been such a blight on my life and how I hated them and how uncomfortable they were. I originally had them done for an emotionally abusive husband and not my owN vanity, and when having mammograms Professor Winters ensured they used a special way of doing them as the pain caused by the implants was excruciating and I had avoided having scans because of this, so in essence Professor Winters did indeed save my life by insisting and organising the mammogram that found the cancer. I can’t thank her enough for her amazing care, skills and dedication to her work. The only thing that I think could be taken from my experience that other professionals who deal with ladies who have implants do not always assume there is vanity behind the reason for having them and that the pain is far worse for women when having a mammogram with calcified capsules around the implants. I was under professor Winter’s care late last year for a rare, and fortunately benign, tumour. Everything was explained to me, care was professional, honest, sensitive and very personal - I felt like a human being, even under the pressures of Nhs time allocations/number of patients to see. I was attended by Professor Zoe Winters at Wycombe Breast Clinic. I found her to informative, empthatic and very easy to talk to. Apparently my lumpectomy was very difficult and lasted approximately 4 hours she took great care in the reconstruction of my breast with excellent results. She even took the trouble to contact me the next day to make sure I was ok. At my post operative consultation she again took the trouble to explain why the operation was so difficult. Christina, my key worker, and the nurse who works closely with Zoe was also a great comfort in fact the whole team at the Wycombe Breast Clinic were great. No one wants to hear they have breast cancer but the treatment and care Professor Winters and the breast care team gave me was exactly what I needed. Professor Winters surgical skills are excellent, I had minimum pain and discomfort. Every stage was explained, all questions answered and I felt I was treated like an individual, that I mattered. Literature to read, nurses to phone, all bases were covered by their confidence and competence. Great care was taken at every stage with a nurse always beside you, taking you to all locations you needed to go to within the hospital. Thank you to Professor Winters and her Specialist Nurse Jackie for their support over the past couple of months. I was immediately put at ease by Professor Winters at my appointment earlier in the Summer at Spire, Bristol. I was given clear and concise information and all of my many questions were answered. I left the appointment feeling well-informed and reassured that I was in good hands. I was very impressed by the follow-up and communcation following my appointment- both Prof Winters and Jackie went the extra mile to ensure that I had all necessary information and received the best care going forward. My consultation with Prof Winters did not just concentrate on the immediate issue. A full assessment of my family history was made and so in accordance with Prof Winters' careful advice and recommendation I underwent Genetic Screening only a couple of weeks later. Fortunately the results came back as negative and now my family and I have peace of mind for the future and ongoing screening put in place.

If one has to have consultations about breast cancer, I can not think of a kinder, more helpful person to have encoiuntered. She filled me with confidence from the outset and did everything she could to make me as relaxed as possible. She was very professional, direct speaking which I respected, but made clear the available options. There is no doubt that she treated me as a person, not just as someone with cancer. She was understanding of my position, with touches of humour that helped greatly. She appeared to have all the time in the world, so there was no sense of hurry. . I also appreciated the fact that she offered to send me a research paper on the issue of age and breast cancer.

I recently underwent surgery for PIP breast implant removal with Professor Zoe Winters at Hereford County hospital. I found her to be extremely professional and helpful. Her bedside manner is second to none and her knowledge is astounding. She talked me through every stage of my upcoming operation in great detail and what to expect after the procedure was performed. I put my complete trust in her and she didn’t let me down. She goes above and beyond her call of duty and I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending her. I would say she is definitely one of the best in her field.

I was recommended to see Professor Winters by a good friend of mine. I travelled from Hertfordshire and I can honestly say, it was the best decision I made. I can tell you, I was not disappointed. I was extremely anxious and nervous and Zoe's bedside manner really did put me at ease. A real lady. For that, I'm grateful. Whilst I was having numerous tests, Zoe explained everything to me. Her bedside manner is spot on. I was informed every step of the way and I really did feel I was in good hands. I would highly recommend Zoe to my family, friends and anyone that knows me. 15 years ago Miss Winters performed my mastectomy. When I was diagnosed earlier this year with a new primary breast cancer on the other breast, I had no qualm or questions of what to do next. Phone Miss Winters! I trust her clinical knowledge, surgical skill, ability to achieve cosmetically fantastic results and all with a reassuring manner that puts the patient's needs first. I have found the peace of mind with Niss Winters that I needed during the tough days of dealing with yet another breast cancer diagnosis.

I met Zoe Winters in 2001 and from the first appointment she immediately put my mind at rest and she was extremely supportive. I would recommend her 100 percent and now 17 yrs on, if I have any worries or concerns, Zoe answers straight away. Her bedside manner is second to none.

I saw Professor Zoe Winters this afternoon. I was very anxious at the thought of having a lump in my breast. Zoe Winters very quickly put me at ease with her kind and thoughtful words. Everything was explained to me and she also explained it all to my husband even showing him the ultra sound as I was being examined. I cannot thank her enough for all the care she gave me, even seeing me through and sitting with me when I was put in the care of another doctor for some treatment. A very passionate and caring lady. I would highly recommend Dr Winters, I felt very confident in her hands. She sometimes spoke in very medical jargon, but this also gave me lots of confidence in her knowledge of my breast surgery and that she was doing the very best for me.

Finding out I was BRAC1 positive and knowing the best resolution was a double mastectomy was truly frightening. I faint at blood tests however walking into Dr Zoe Winters consultant room one morning, that feeling soon went. Zoe put me at ease within seconds. Zoe is very thorough and made sure I understood everything she was explaining. I had my right breast removed in Sept 17 and my left last week. I am healing well and I am looking forward to seeing them in 6 months time when they have fully healed. I would highly recommend Dr Winters to anyone, I feel so blessed and lucky she was my surgeon. I've never met someone who loves their job as much as Zoe, she never stops working or supporting those who she will be helping throughout their difficult journey.

From my very first meeting with Zoe, I could tell that she was passionate about her work. The feeling of being in safe and experienced hands was incredibly reassuring. Each step of my treatment was explained in detail and she welcomed questions from both myself and my partner. As a young(ish) woman coming to terms with a cancer diagnosis, I was very grateful that Zoe was always willing to take extra time when I was struggling with my emotions - which was quite frequent! I had a mastectomy in order to remove two small tumors followed by an immediate reconstruction. Zoe has been rigorous in gaining the best result and it is a great comfort to know that I am being treated by someone who is so utterly determined to ensure the best possible outcome. To know that I could contact Zoe directly has also been reassuring, and I have particularly valued this aspect of our relationship. I really do not think that I could have found a more exacting and dedicated professional.

I have a family history of breast cancer and I met with Zoe Winters at Bristol Southmead hospital in September 2016 to discuss prophylactic surgery. During the consultation I found Zoe to be informative, thorough, attentive and reassuring. I had a mastectomy with immediate reconstruction and I am very pleased with the outcome.

Before meeting Zoe I Goggled her and read as much as I could, I wasn't disappointed when we met and I was impressed by her calm professional manner, attention to detail and her honest and straightforward attitude. I knew that I could trust her completely and that she would achieve a great result . Having worked with Zoe for 16 years I have seen the immaculate cosmetic results following surgery that she has performed. She is driven by her knowledge and understanding of the disease and what is required to treat it. She follows evidence based protocols and is always up to date on the latest recommendations. Dr Winters quite literally saved my life! I could not have wished for anyone more dedicated, thorough and 100% committed to my care. I have been seeing Zoe for many years now and throughout my care I have felt in very safe hands. I had a mastectomy and when I came out of hospital a couple of days later, I had no pain! Zoe was always on the other end of the phone. I’m a worrier and knowing she was there was a real comfort. Zoe listens, explains and will talk through all the options available. My wife went to see Dr Winters for breast cancer. Dr Winters came highly recommended by a friend and also by our GP. I have to say, neither of us were disappointed. The level of care and knowledge that Dr Winters provided was outstanding. We felt that we were in safe in hands from the start. My wife had major surgery and an immediate reconstruction. The results are fantastic. My wife's cancer has gone and we would not hesitate in recommending Dr Winters. Her bedside manner is awesome. A true lady.
