Mr Nicholas Wilson is a distinguished consultant vascular surgeon based in Winchester and Eastleigh with over 40 years of experience. His areas of expertise include leg ulcers, varicose veins, peripheral vascular disease, hyperhidrosis, endovenous laser treatment (EVLT), and other advanced laser treatments for varicose veins.
Mr Wilson consults privately at Sarum Road Hospital and at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital. He also practises as an NHS consultant at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital since 1994, and has been the Wessex representative, council member, and national link surgeon coordinator for the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.
Mr Wilson originally qualified from St Thomas’ Medical School in 1981, obtaining both an MBBS and a first class honours BSc. He undertook surgical training at prestigious institutions, including Guy’s Hospital, The London Chest Hospital and The Westminster Hospital, before returning to St Thomas’ as a registrar, lecturer and senior registrar.
Mr Wilson, who also has an MS from the University of London, holds esteemed fellowships to the Royal College of Surgeons of England, having achieved the FRCS (Eng) in 1985 and the FRCS (Gen) in 1993. He has been recognised with the illustrious Arris and Gale Lectureship at the royal College of Surgeons of England. He has served as the Associate Dean of Students and Associate Dean of Clinical Studies and Professor of Surgery at St. George’s University, Grenada.
