Disorder of sexual desire
The lack of sexual, or hypoactive sexual desire, desire refers to low interest in sex. It affects both men and women, and can be temporary or permanent. The lack of sexual drive often occurs because of psychological rather than physical problems, such as lack of communication or affection, power struggles, very strict sexual education or traumatic sexual experiences. Conditions such as stress and depression, particularly if a medication is followed, may also contribute to this dysfunction. To treat a disorder of sexual desire is advisable to consult a specialist in sexual and marital therapy.
