The most common trigger of asthma is a viral infection. This is incredibly difficult to avoid. Other triggers include exercise and an exposure to a variety of stimulants such as dust, pollen, and fumes. They are all, unfortunately, very difficult to avoid in this day and age.

Yes, there are several new treatments. They mostly involve the use of monoclonal antibodies. We now have several available, which can be taken orally or administered via injection.
