Ambulatory electrocardiogram (Holter)

Holter electrocardiogram or ambulatory electrocardiogram is a diagnostic test that allows for 24 hours continuous recording of the electrical activity of the heart. The record is held by a magnetic tape that the patient wears connected to different parts of the chest area while following the pace of everyday life. The analysis of the results is done with a quick-step to analyze, in about twenty minutes, the layout of the 24 hours has been recording heart activity and automatically post abnormalities obtained, different types of arrhythmias, blockades driving, etc. Generally, this technique is used when the possibility of arrhythmias or blocks that are not listed on a conventional electrocardiographic tracing suspected.
