Dr Niall Keenan is a leading and widely revered consultant cardiologist practising in both Bushey and London. With over 20 years of experience in a full range of cardiological issues, Dr Keenan’s specialities are in heart failure, valvular heart disease, and cardiac imaging, such as echocardiography, cardiac CT, and cardiac MRI.  

Following his graduation from Oxford University in 2001, Dr Keenan undertook extensive training in cardiology, carrying out cardiac MRI training and research, cardiac CT training, and heart failure training in esteemed hospitals across London. He completed training in echocardiography in both London and Paris. He is accredited in CMR (cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging), cardiac CT, cardiovascular imaging, transthoracic echocardiogram (TTE), and trans-oesophageal echocardiogram (TOE or echo). 

Since 2014, Dr Keenan has held the position of consultant cardiologist at West Herts NHS Trust, where he is also the clinical director for interventional medicine. He has also previously held the position of training lead for cardiology at West Herts NHS Trust. Additionally, he is an honorary consultant cardiologist at Hammersmith Hospital. Dr Keenan advocates a holistic and caring approach in the treatment of his patients, focusing on their individual concerns and needs. He ensures his patients have the opportunity to be a part of the decision-making process.  

Outside of his clinical work, Dr Keenan actively pursues an interest in research, mainly focusing on cardiac MRI. He is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at the Institute of Clinical Sciences, Imperial College London. His research has been published in numerous journals; a full list can be found here. He has also reviewed for international journals such as the Journal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (JCMR) and the Journal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (JMRI).  

In 2018, he was elected to the board of the British Society for CMR. He was the lead in conducting a nationwide survey on CMR units and was the lead author of the national standard document on CRM to standardise and reduce the variation in CMR across the UK. In 2020, he was invited to join the Scientific Documents (Guidelines) Committee of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). In 2022, Dr Keenan was elected treasurer of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (BSCMR).

Mr Gautam Mehra is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist, gynaecological oncologist, and gynaecological surgeon in London. His speciality focuses are fibroids, endometriosis, irregular periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), as well as laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Mr Mehra currently practises at his two private clinics in addition to his work with the NHS.

After receiving his primary medical qualification in 1996 from the University of Mysore, Mr Mehra underwent his core training in London and at other London centres such as St Bartholomew’s, St George’s, Queen Charlotte’s, and Chelsea & Hammersmith Hospitals. In 2006, he received his membership with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. In 2012, Mr Mehra had completed two trainings at cancer centres and was additionally awarded the International Fellowship for Indian College of Obstetrics & Gynaecology (ICOG) the same year. In 2023, Mr Mehra completed his PhD in robotics from King's College London as part of the Department of Informatics (Centre of Robotic Research -CoRe). His research involved making medical robots more receptive using a specialised technology known as haptic technology.

Mr Mehra is incredibly involved in his field outside of his practices, as he is the lead for many teams, such as for the Gynaecology Rapid-Access one-stop outpatient clinic at GSTT and the Gynaecology group in the Genetic clinic for BRCA mutation careers at risk of Gynaecological cancer and offers counselling. He continues to conduct research and is interested in the application of sensor probes in detecting gynaecological cancers and other benign gynaecological conditions, as well as bettering tactile sensation during laparoscopic and robotic surgery. Mr Mehra has introduced a robotic programme at Guys' and St Thomas' Hospital, where he also is the lead for robotic surgery.

Additionally, Mr Mehra has had publications in many peer-reviewed journals on gynaecology and gynaecological cancers and has been invited to present at national and international scientific meetings and has co-authored a textbook in laparoscopic surgery. Furthermore, he has been extensively involved in training roles for future surgeons and gynaecologists. Presently, Mr Mehra is the preceptor for Advanced Training Skills Module in Gynaecological Oncology in London deanery for postgraduate doctors.

Outside of his clinical duties, he has held a number of senior positions, including Chair of the Specialist Advisory Council (SAC) for ENT and an executive council member of ENTUK. As such, he was responsible for the ENT curriculum followed by trainee specialists and advised on key matters within the field. He is also an official examiner for the ENT intercollegiate exam and is a former local training program director for the west of Scotland.

Mr Murray is also a member of a number of esteemed societies, including ENTUK and the Scottish Otolaryngological Society. He is also a member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers and regularly teaches and trains medical students, including on the Glasgow Temporal Bone course.

He has a keen interest in education and training of doctors having been responsible for the education supervision of numerous specialist registrars in geriatrics, many of whom now practice as consultants. Mr Gary Maytham is a top consultant vascular surgeon based in London, who specialises in treating varicose veins and venous conditions, peripheral arterial disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysms. Mr Maytham is involved in surgical training and serves as a member of the faculty on numerous surgical training courses delivered by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has published and delivered international presentations on his specialist interests, including the management of venous conditions and peripheral vascular disease.
