Butt thread lift

What is a butt thread lift?

A butt thread lift is a modern alternative to the butt lift, eliminating the need for implants or major surgery.

Threads are placed along the length of the buttocks in the subcutaneous tissue, so that the buttocks are elevated, becoming perkier and more rounded, the legs look longer and the body is better proportioned.

However, the procedure is not possible for everyone because the threads may not have the desired effect, due to the patient’s body or the threads themselves.

Why is a butt thread lift done?

A buttocks thread lift is a simpler, less onerous alternative to major surgery to reshape and lift the buttocks.

The principal advantages of this method are as follows:

  • a hospital stay is not required
  • no scarring
  • immediate result
  • you can return to your everyday activities without restrictions
  • it is less expensive than conventional surgery

The disadvantages are as follows:

  • It is not a replacement for buttock augmentation, it doesn’t increase the size of the buttocks, but lifts it to make it look perkier and more toned.
  • The result is not permanent - it lasts for about two years, although this can vary between individuals.
  • Sometimes, reddening and swelling occur.

What does a butt thread lift procedure involve?

The procedure normally takes around one hour. First, the surgeon applies a local anaesthetic which lasts between one and two hours. Next, the area is disinfected, markings are made where small incisions will be made on the buttocks and through which the threads will be placed.

Once the threads are in place, the incisions are closed. After a minimum rest period of between 24 and 72 hours, you can resume normal activities.

Post-operative care

As the intervention is performed under local anaesthesia, you can return home on the same day. The procedure is painless and, under optimal conditions, recovery only takes around three or four days.
