I was able to see Mr Williams quite quickly after requesting an appointment. He examined me for my heart palpitations and I then had an ECG and was fitted with a heart monitor. This would have taken quite some time if I'd waited for a monitor with the NHS. Excellent service.

A couple of years ago, I had the shock of my life when I was investigated routinely and found to need urgent cardiac surgery. I thought my life was over. I was so lucky to be referred to Ulrich Rosendahl and the team at the Brompton Hospital. Ulrich was caring, empathic, very professional, clinically exceptional and knowledgable. He listened to my worries and projected plans for the future (that I had thought were truncated) and reassured me. The operation went well - very painful to be honest, and the rehab was hard going. But it all paid off. I have been so lucky - since my operation, I have been on some of my bucket list trips. I have been diving in the Galapagos Islands, cross-country skiing and camping in the Arctic, ski-touring in the Antarctic and trekking up to Everest Base Camp in Nepal - all thanks to Ulrich and the team. I have realised that major cardiac surgery does not mean that life is over - rather, it can be the springboard to bigger and better things. Thank you so much Ulrich - you really are the best!

Often talking with a surgeon a lot goes your head: not with mr Bahrami. He was very patient and illustrated with a video clip of my Mitral valve what was wrong. He explained in great detail the procedure and I felt immediately confident to be operated by him and his team. Prior to surgery I had an angiogram and he took a lot of care to discuss the findings and options. Post surgery he put my mind at rest re the recovery to be expected. 6 months post surgery at my echocardiogram, my cardiologist noted that the valve was working “perfectly well » which is what I had ofcourse hoped for. I would highly recommend Mr Bahrami for his skill in minimum invasive heart valve repair and his kind bedside manner.

I would strongly recommend Mr Jose. He puts you at ease, was very quick in replying to mails and organising scans, blood tests etc. The London Clinic itself wasn’t a pleasant experience. It’s very corporate and seems to be aimed at VIPs/foreign patients more than ordinary folk.
