I had a Holep. Within 24 hours of surgery I was feeling better than for 2 months, and three days on I feel very well. The procedure was completed with rare skill to cause so little trauma; and Mr brewster was thorough in explaining both treatment options and post operative care.

I've fed this back to my secretary, who tells me she initially had an incorrect email for you, her assistant was unwell and there was a Bank holiday that contributed. She does recall speaking to you on the phone, informing you about hospital costs for your treatment and discussing ways to transfer to the NHS. Again, apologies and best wishes.

Mr Brewster performed my HoLEP operation last Wednesday, and it is now Monday. I have no pain, only some soreness. All seems to be working correctly, but as yet, not quite perfectly, but early days. The anesthetic has not worn off completely yet.

Thank you, it is 'early days' as you say. After HoLEP the urine flow speed improves rapidly but other symptoms such as intermittent bleeding, urgency and discomfort may persist for several weeks (up to 3 months) while the cavity within the prostate gland heals. Similarly a few patients will experience transient leakage due to urgency or exertion for several weeks which responds well to pelvic floor muscle exercises and the vast majority of patients have full control by 3 months.
