I recently had a treatment for varicose veins done under the care of Dr Jibawi. He has proven to be competent, knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with my case and concerns. During the first consultation, assessment, scans and diagnosis were all done in one visit which was efficient and time saving. He makes sure he explains everything to you and addresses your concerns so you can make a well- informed decision regarding your treatment plan. After the treatment was carried out, the level of improvement and healing was evident and it felt great to see the outcome unravel gradually afterwards! His medical approach is mostly focused on the results rather than anything else. His staff are friendly, approachable and always ready to assist. my initial consultant declined to operate on my leg, stating i would die on the table. on second opinion by Mr. Jibawi, assessed the surgery as safe, but with a heightened risk level which i accepted. the surgery was carried out at St. Georges Hospital successfully.

I had visited the ophthalmology department for many years with glaucoma, seen many of the staff, and done some background reading on who I might choose if that was ever possible. When I developed cataracts I chose Mr Meyer-Bothling and also saw him recently for an “MOT” – I think I chose well, Mr Meyer-Bothling is especially engaging in his ease of exchanging patient information and his thorough answers to any questions. Within sixteen weeks I have undergone ACL reconstruction and Meniscal repair on my both knees. No painkillers required. Not even Paracetamol. Have been walking my Labrador without crutches just as I got out of the hospital. The “scars” would make a top Plastic Surgeon envious! Forget the stereotypical Aloof, Grumpy, Good with the Knife Poor Communicator Surgeon. Dr Thompson is anything but a stereotype. He might surprise you with his lack of greed, generosity, raw honesty, unreal sense of humour and laser beam like insight into your body and mind. Maybe even into your soul, if you are being dishonest with your narratives! Be prepared to be scanned by a Human MRI. In fact, he noticed the problem with the knee I did not know it was damaged, way before the MRI. If you need a Knee Surgeon, Dr Simon Thompson is the ONE. Possibly the One and Only. The outcomes of his surgeries are quite simply out of this world. Also, his choices of Admin, Hospital (my surgeries were done at the Lister Hospital) and Physio teams are truly amazing. I contacted Professor Imam, after my previous surgeries on the NHS had not been very successful. My physio asked me to go private for a 2nd opinion. Mr Horgan was recommended to me by a good friend. I needed my cataracts removed. I have now had both eyes operated on and the results are better than I expected. I now no longer need glasses at all whereas previously I required glasses for both reading and distance. Me Horgan is very professional and very organised and his supporting staff are also very good. The instructions they provided were all written down and very clear. I highly recommend him to anyone.
