TMS treatment for OCD - third course
Smart TMS London provides Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) as a treatment choice for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). This procedure does not involve surgery or medication, but rather utilises magnetic waves to specifically target the regions of the brain responsible for obsessive and compulsive thoughts and behaviours. The objective is to disrupt the cycle associated with OCD.
How does Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) work for treating OCD?
Roughly 40% of people diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) don't achieve favourable results from conventional treatments such as psychotherapy and antidepressant medication.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) presents a novel method for addressing OCD. This therapeutic approach avoids the need for surgery or medication and instead employs magnetic waves to target the specific brain areas associated with obsessive and compulsive thoughts and behaviours.
