Mr Aniruddha Gayen

Mr Aniruddha Gayen is a highly experienced consultant gynaecologist based in Brighton, Haywards Heath and Hove. He is renowned for his expertise in vaginal prolapse, pelvic floor, menstrual disorders, and urinary incontinence, and also specialises in colposcopy and urogynaecology.

Mr Gayen qualified in medicine in 1994 before going on to pursue further training in obstetrics and gynaecology. He has previously served as a consultant gynaecologist and urogynaecologist at various NHS hospitals, including the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. Now based at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust, he leads the dedicated colposcopy service, performing between 600 and 700 colposcopy procedures yearly. Mr Gayen is accredited by the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and is also an appointed fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He sees private patients at Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital, Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital and Spire Montefiore Hospital.

Mr Gayen has presented at a number of key conferences throughout his esteemed career, including at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists’ World Congress in London in 2019 and 2021. He has also published academic papers and research on various topics within his areas of expertise, including stress incontinence and sacrospinous fixation performed with prolapse and hysterectomy procedures. Mr Gayen is a member of several professional bodies, including the British Society of Urogynaecology and the International Urogynaecological Association.
