Dr Anthony Bewley is a highly acclaimed consultant dermatologist at The Holly Private Hospital, Spire London East Hospital and The Royal London Hospital in London. He treats patients with all kinds of skin conditions and is particularly interested in how skin conditions affect patients psychologically. His areas of expertise include skin lumps and bumps, psoriasis, eczema and acne.
Dr Bewley qualified from Bristol University Medical School in 1987 and has trained in general dermatology at the Westminster Hospital, University College London Hospitals and Southampton University Hospitals, becoming a consultant in 1996. He is well trained in all aspects of dermatology and is a principal investigator for numerous ongoing UK research trials.
Apart from his role as consultant dermatologist, Dr Bewley is an honorary senior lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and has been secretary to the European Society for Dermatology and Psychiatry since June 2017. Previously Dr Bewley was clinical advisor to Changing Faces, Uk and to the Psoriasis Association.
Dr Bewley is the author of a number of peer-reviewed papers, chapters and textbooks and is an active researcher with a keen interest in how the skin, brain and mind are connected. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London and a member of numerous organisations such as the American Academy of Dermatology, the British Association of Dermatologists and the Royal Society of Medicine.
