Dr Brian Hogan is a consultant hepatologist offering his services through Cleveland Clinic London. He has extensive experience with the full spectrum of liver disease, with particular expertise in endoscopy, abnormal liver function, hepatitis, fatty liver disease, fibrosis and Fibroscan.
Dr Hogan qualified from the University College London in 2004, and went on to complete his specialist training in critical care medicine, hepatology, and liver transplants at several esteemed London institutions, including the Royal Free Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Imperial College and St Thomas’ Hospitals.
Dr Hogan is an honorary associate professor at the Institute of Liver and Digestive Health at University College London, where his research focuses on acute and chronic liver failure. He was appointed consultant in critical care and hepatology at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in 2018 and held the role for four years. He has been the Lead Clinician in Liver Critical Care at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London, where he also researched techniques to assess portal hypertension in patients with severe liver disease.
