Mr Daryll Baker is a distinguished consultant vascular surgeon based in London who specialises in all open and endovascular procedures for arteries and veins. His areas of expertise include aortic aneurysm, hyperhidrosis, peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, and hernia surgery.
Mr Baker consults privately at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre. In addition, he also practises for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust since 1996. Notably, Mr Baker leads the largest hyperhidrosis service in North London.
Mr Baker qualified from the University of Oxford in 1987. He undertook surgical training in Nottingham, London, and Edinburgh, and also holds a research PhD from the University of Wales. Furthermore, he is an esteemed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an honorary associate professor in vascular surgery at University College London.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Baker is the secretary of the Surgical Research Society and a member of the British Journal of Surgery’s editorial council. He has also published over 150 academic papers in high-impact journals, both nationally and internationally, and is a former council member of the Vascular Society and the past director of communications for the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.

Mr Baker removed varicose veins from my left leg several years ago. I was very pleased with the post operation result and since then there has been no recurrence of the veins re-emerging. Recently, I returned for a new consultation to discuss the early stages of a varicose vein on my right leg.
Mr Baker is clearly competent and I have had every confidence in him as a physician and surgeon. He has a friendly, personable disposition which makes one feel at ease, he listens and explains well. Highly recommended.

I saw Mr Baker at the Cleveland Clinic for an initial assessment and then follow up after a duplex study. I have thoracic outlet syndrome and Mr Baker saw me to evaluate whether or not there was a vascular component to my condition. Mr Baker was recommended to me by a highly respected shoulder surgeon who has collaborated with Mr Baker for complex clinical cases. Mr Baker clearly has a wealth of experience and skills. He has a very friendly approach and is easy to talk to. I was very happy with the consultations I had with Mr Baker and grateful for his care.

The day didn’t start well as the early morning sign in was not well organised and I was sent to the wrong floor. However once in the room the care was fantastic from the nurses and everyone I came in contact with. The doctor just made me feel comfortable and I had complete confidence in him and his team.
