Mr Daryll Baker is a distinguished consultant vascular surgeon based in London who specialises in all open and endovascular procedures for arteries and veins. His areas of expertise include aortic aneurysm, hyperhidrosis, peripheral arterial disease, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), varicose veins, and hernia surgery.
Mr Baker consults privately at Cleveland Clinic London Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre. In addition, he also practises for the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust since 1996. Notably, Mr Baker leads the largest hyperhidrosis service in North London.
Mr Baker qualified from the University of Oxford in 1987. He undertook surgical training in Nottingham, London, and Edinburgh, and also holds a research PhD from the University of Wales. Furthermore, he is an esteemed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and an honorary associate professor in vascular surgery at University College London.
In addition to his clinical work, Mr Baker is the secretary of the Surgical Research Society and a member of the British Journal of Surgery’s editorial council. He has also published over 150 academic papers in high-impact journals, both nationally and internationally, and is a former council member of the Vascular Society and the past director of communications for the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland.
