Dr George Amin-Youssef is a distinguished consultant cardiologist based in London. His areas of expertise include heart failure (both systolic and diastolic), coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart muscle disease, and infective endocarditis. In addition, Dr Amin-Youssef is also a fully-accredited echocardiography imaging consultant.
Dr Amin-Youssef consults privately at Cleveland Clinic Portland Place Outpatient Centre. With over 20 years’ experience in complex cardiac disease, he also practises for King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where he serves as a member of the infective endocarditis team. Notably, Dr Amin-Youssef is a senior consultant at one of the largest heart failure units in the UK.
Dr Amin-Youssef originally qualified from Ain Shams University in 1985. He is a fellowship-trained specialist and also holds an MSc in Cardiology, as well as esteemed fellowship to the Royal College of Physicians since 2011. He has held various academic positions, including as clinical lecturer in cardiology and contributes his expertise in a number of multidisciplinary meetings.
Within his echocardiography practice, Dr Amin-Youssef provides transthoracic echocardiography, transoesophageal echocardiography, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography, contrast imaging, and bubble echocardiograms. Furthermore, he also holds a special interest in cardio-oncology and in cardiac assessments for cerebral vascular stroke.
