Mr George Tselentakis is a highly qualified and experienced consultant orthopaedic knee surgeon practising in the south east of England.
His clinical practice involves all aspects of knee surgery, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal repairs, articular cartilage regeneration techniques , knee replacement, revision knee replacement, complex ligament reconstruction surgery, PRP and stem cell treatments.
After obtaining his medical degree in Greece in 1989, Mr Tselentakis came to the UK to undergo basic surgical training in the London SW Thames region. He was awarded a PhD from Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital for his research on assessing healing in callotasis, then completed his higher surgical training in Manchester. After visiting a number of nationally and internationally renowned knee centres, Mr Tselentakis was appointed consultant orthopaedic knee surgeon at East Surrey Hospital in 2002, where he is currently the Lead Clinician in the Orthopaedic Department.
On top of his busy practice, Mr. Tselentakis has presented nationally and internationally, with a number of publications in scientific journals and authored book chapters. He is also responsible for the education of future consultants and doctors under his Knee Fellowship Program as well as medical students from Brighton and Sussex Medical School.
