Mr Graham Keene is an expert consultant orthopaedic surgeon whose areas of expertise include primary and revision joint replacement surgery, hip resurfacing, arthroscopic (keyhole) surgery and trauma surgery. Since being appointed as an orthopaedic surgeon, he has undertaken over 9,000 surgical procedures. These include over 4,500 hip replacements and over 600 knee replacements for patients suffering various conditions, such as joint pain & stiffness, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, etc.
Mr Keene was a medical student and junior surgical trainee in London, before becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1991. He then joined the East Anglian Orthopaedic Surgery Training Programme in 1992. He was subsequently awarded his FRCS (Orth) in 1995 and obtained his entry to the Specialist Register in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 1997. After Mr Keene trained in the UK, he spent a year working in a lower limb joint replacement unit in Adelaide, Australia.
He has a considerable amount of experience with cemented and uncemented primary and revision hip replacement surgery for various hip conditions. He routinely carries out hip arthroscopy for young adults with non-typical hip pain, labral tears and early osteoarthritis. At his practice, he specialises in knee surgery including arthroscopic surgery for early osteoarthritis, meniscal tears and joint replacement surgery.
Mr Keene currently practices at The Cambridge Nuffield Hospital, Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge and Cambridge Lea Hospital. His private clinics are available for consultations on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, however, additional times are available when necessary.
