Mr Husam Ebied

Mr Husam Ebied is a highly experienced consultant surgeon and abdominal wall surgeon based in London, specialising in abdominal wall reconstruction, incisional hernias and inguinal hernias, as well as gallbladder disease, umbilical hernia repair and benign pancreatic conditions. He consults privately at The London Independent Hospital, Fitzrovia Hospital, King Edward VII’s Hospital Sister Agnes and Weymouth Street Hospital, while his NHS base is Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. 

Mr Ebied completed his medical degree with honours from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, in 1999, before undertaking advanced surgical training in the UK. His extensive postgraduate training included roles as a senior clinical fellow at leading centres in Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke-on-Trent and Barts Health, where he developed expertise in upper gastrointestinal (UGI) and advanced laparoscopic surgery. During three years at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, he focused on managing complex malignant and benign conditions related to UGI diseases, further refining his skills in intricate surgical techniques.

Mr Ebied, who is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), is highly skilled in both open and laparoscopic procedures, including hernia repair, gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy), appendicectomy and the management of pancreatitis. He also offers treatments for lipomas, skin lesion removal, and other general surgical conditions, tailoring his care to meet the specific needs of each patient. 

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Ebied is deeply involved in teaching and mentoring the next generation of surgeons. He is an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London, reflecting his commitment to education and innovation in surgical practice. King’s College London and supervising trainees, further enhancing the integration of research, education and clinical care.
