Dr Isabelle Martineau is an esteemed functional medicine physician with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. Her areas of expertise include functional medicine, endocrinology, metabolic disease, nutrition, women’s health, chronic fatigue, and digestive diseases.
 
Dr Martineau qualified from the prestigious Université Pierre et Marie Curie in 1992, specialising in endocrinology, metabolic diseases, and nutrition. She is accredited in functional medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine (USA) and holds a Diploma in Bioregulatory Medicine and a Diploma in Nutrition from the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Additionally, Dr Martineau is licensed for the use of homeopathy in clinical practice as well.
 
In her pursuit of a more integrative approach to medicine, Dr Martineau studied with the founders of the Bioregulatory Medicine group in London, obtaining a diploma in this field. She also trained at the Royal London Hospital of Integrative Medicine, part of UCL and the Faculty of Homeopathy, where she earned her LFHom license. Her commitment to integrating advanced holistic practices into her work has led her to collaborate with neuroscientists at a neurotherapy clinic in London, utilizing state-of-the-art neurofeedback methods. She has now practised functional medicine for more than 12 years and, is continuing to participate in conferences related to functional as well as integrative anti ageing medicine. 
 
As a specialist, Dr Martineau’s approach goes beyond the symptomatic treatment of diseases, aiming to identify and address their underlying causes. To achieve optimal function of the body and mind, Dr Martineau employs strategies like dietary and lifestyle changes and medication to develop personalized treatment plans that support hormonal balance and the state of the psycho-neuro-endocrine-gut-immune (PNEGI) systems, recognizing their role in overall wellness.
 
Before dedicating her practice to functional medicine, Dr Martineau held various senior positions at private clinics and pharmaceutical laboratories, including as an associate therapeutic director for the Corporate Medical Affairs Group and as a clinical research physician at Syntex Research (England) Medical Research. Dr Martineau has remained closely involved in the latest advancements in the field of brain development working with Doman International Institute with brain injured patients.
Her background in endocrinology has particularly led her to explore and deepen anti-ageing and age-management therapies using bio-identical hormones.
