Mr Kyle James

Professional statement

Mr Kyle James is a distinguished consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeon based in London and Horley who specialises in children and adolescents’ musculoskeletal conditions. His areas of expertise include DDH (developmental dysplasia of the hip), SUFE (slipped upper femoral epiphysis), Perthes disease, cerebral palsy, foot and ankle conditions such as clubfoot (CTEV) and flat feet, neuromuscular disorders, and bone and joint infections.

Mr James consults privately with the renowned OS Clinic, at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital and at Bupa Cromwell Hospital. He originally qualified from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical Schools in 2002, earning his MBBS and BSc. He completed specialist orthopaedic and trauma training on the prestigious London Deanery rotation, before going on to accomplish two international fellowships: a paediatric orthopaedic fellowship at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and the Furlong international fellowship in orthopaedics at Beit Cure International Hospital in Malawi.

Notably, Mr James also served as medical director and consultant at Beit Cure International Hospital from 2015 to 2018, as well as at The Royal London Hospital from 2013 to 2015, enhancing his clinical expertise and leadership in paediatric orthopaedics. He holds esteemed fellowship (FRCS (Tr&Orth)) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, following his MRCS in 2005.

In addition to his clinical practice, Mr James is an honorary senior lecturer for trauma and orthopaedics at The Blizard Institute Centre for Trauma Sciences since 2014, and is also a prominent member of several professional organisations, including the British Society for Children’s Orthopaedic Surgery. He has a demonstrated commitment to improving the quality of life for his young patients and advancing the field of paediatric orthopaedics, and carefully evaluates all treatment options, both conservative and surgical.
