In 2009, Dr Lucio D’Anna obtained his medical degree with honours at the University of Udine Medical School, Italy. In 2015, after completing his neurology training with honours at the University of Udine, he decided to move to London where he obtained GMC specialty registration as a neurology consultant. In 2015, he was awarded the International Scholarship Award by the American Academy of Neurology. In 2017, Dr D’Anna was awarded a PhD in clinical neuroscience from King's College London. He is also a consultant neurologist at the department of Stroke and Neurosciences at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. In addition to his clinical work, Dr D'Anna holds the position of Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Division of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London.
Dr D'Anna is extremely passionate about research and education, and has seen his work published in renowned peer-reviewed publications like Brain, Nature, Neurology, and Stroke journal. He is currently involved in early-phase clinical trials and establishing new diagnostic equipment and therapies for the management of stroke and dementia.
