Dr Michael O´Sullivan

Dr Michael O'Sullivan is a leading consultant cardiologist based at the Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. Here he provides patients with care for general cardiac problems and coronary disease. His particular areas of expertise include heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr O'Sullivan qualified with his undergraduate degrees from Cambridge University, and did his postgraduate medical training at Oxford University Teaching Hospitals and the Royal Brompton National Heart & Lung Hospital. Following this, Dr O'Sullivan worked towards his PhD which looked into the mechanisms of coronrary stent failure. Between 2003-2004, he worked for the Department of Interventional Cardiology at the University of British Columbia, Canada. When he returned to the UK, he was appointed as a consultant cardiologist at Addenbrooke's and Papworth Hospitals.
