Ms Romana Kuchai is a consultant ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialist based in London, with expertise in managing nasal blockages, sinusitis and allergies, as well as paediatric ENT, tonsillitis and autoimmune conditions in ENT. She privately practises at Cromwell Hospital, The Medical Chambers Kensington, Syon Clinic and London Medical, while her NHS base is Imperial College NHS Foundation Trust.
Ms Kuchai graduated from Imperial College Medical School in 1996 and subsequently completed postgraduate surgical training. She undertook advanced ENT training at prestigious institutions, including St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital, the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, and Charing Cross Hospital.
Her paediatric training was carried out at the world-renowned Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children, and she now leads the paediatric ENT clinic at St Mary's Hospital, focusing on both general and complex conditions, including paediatric allergies.
Ms Kuchai was awarded an MD for her research into allergic rhinitis and currently leads research into autoimmune conditions affecting the ears, nose and throat, such as Wegener's Granulomatosis and Sarcoidosis, at Hammersmith Hospital. Her specialist interests also include managing complex nasal and throat problems.
Ms Kuchai is a faculty member on national courses run by the Royal College of Surgeons and has organised training courses for higher surgical trainees for over a decade.
She's a member of various professional organisations including the British Association of Head and Neck Surgeons (ENT UK), the British Laryngological Association and the British Rhinological Society.
