Mr Ronnie Davies is a distinguished consultant shoulder and elbow surgeon based in Manchester. His areas of expertise include shoulder pain, rotator cuff injury, frozen shoulder, elbow arthritis, shoulder dislocation, and sports injuries. He is also highly proficient in shoulder replacement surgery.

With over 15 years’ experience, Mr Davies consults privately at The Highfield Hospital and at The Manchester Clinic. Since 2018, he also holds a position at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, where he primarily works at Wythenshawe Hospital, while also conducting surgeries at Trafford Hospital's purpose-built Orthopaedic Centre.

Mr Davies originally qualified with an MB/BChir with Distinction from the University of Cambridge, having previously obtained a First Class BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences. He then undertook higher specialist orthopaedic training in the North West of England, before going on to complete a specialist fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the prestigious Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital. He holds esteemed fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of England since 2016.

As a specialist, Mr Davies has a particular interest in incorporating technology into his surgical practice. He utilises advanced techniques, including 3D printing and surgical navigation, to enhance the accuracy and outcomes of surgeries, and also offers computer-guided shoulder replacement solutions. His goal: to help his patients return to their normal daily lives (including work, sports, and other activities they enjoy) as quickly and safely as possible. 

Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Mr Davies serves as the education lead for all orthopaedic surgery trainees in the North West of England and is also a regular teacher on national courses, including the renowned AO Principles course. He holds an MMedSci in Medical Education from the University of Nottingham and is actively involved in academic research, publishing extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals.
