Mr Shaun Ridgeway is a renowned consultant spinal orthopaedic surgeon based in London and Windsor. He specialises in all aspects of spine surgery, particularly in treating degenerative disc disease, spinal trauma, neck pain, and lower back pain, and is well-versed in using minimally invasive techniques. He is known for performing procedures such as kyphoplasty and spinal fusion.
After qualifying from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 1997, Mr Ridgeway undertook his orthopaedic training in London with specialist and fellowship training in spinal surgery at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore. He has been practicing as a spinal surgeon since 2009, and is a member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons (BASS) as well as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Orthopaedics) (FRCS (Orth)).
Mr Ridgeway also plays a part in teaching the next generation of spinal surgeons, lecturing to national and international audiences on spinal surgery and is part of a minimally invasive spinal surgery training faculty. He is a trainer in minimally invasive surgery and is a member of the International Design Team for Spinal Implants.
