Mr Trystan Lewis is a leading consultant general and upper gastrointestinal surgeon who is an expert when it comes to gallbladder surgery, gallstones, hernia surgery, keyhole (minimally invasive) surgery, abdominal pain, and acid reflux, but to mention a few. He currently practises at both the Ashtead Hospital in Ashtead and Spire St. Anthony's Hospital in London.
After completing both his BSc (2004) and MBBS (2005) at the esteemed Imperial College London, Mr Lewis went on to undertake his specialist training throughout the North West Thames area, before successfully completing his higher surgical training in South West Thames. He would then obtain a PhD in surgical innovation in 2013 from the previously mentioned Imperial College London.
Mr Lewis, who is the current Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust lead of the surgical ambulatory care unit, is a trusted, experienced, and highly skilled surgeon when tasked with performing elective and emergency abdominal surgery. He has, to-date, published an extensive number of peer-reviewed articles in various surgical journals, and has also impressively presented his work throughout Europe as well as North America. Mr Lewis is an extremely passionate trainer for the new generation of surgeons coming through.
