Mr Vittorio Russo is a fellowship-trained consultant complex spinal neurosurgeon at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square (UCLH), and an honorary associate professor at UCL’s Institute of Neurology.
Dual trained in neurosurgical and orthopaedic spinal surgery, he completed advanced fellowships in the UK and USA, including at Queen Square, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, and LSU in New Orleans. He specialises in treating all spinal conditions, with a focus on complex spinal surgery and reconstructive procedures.
Mr Russo leads the acute spinal tumour service at Queen Square and manages one of the UK’s largest practices for adult spinal tumours. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery, cranio-cervical junction procedures, and cervical artificial disc replacement.
An accomplished researcher and lecturer, he has received awards including the EANS Best Podium Presentation and the British Scoliosis Society Presidents’ Travelling Fellowship.
