Mr Ellabban specialises in cataract surgery and has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries. He uses the latest technology in surgery and offers premium lens implants. He is also renowned for his expertise in retinal surgery and offers state-of-the-art vitrectomy surgery for a wide range of retinal disorders including floaters, macular hole, epiretinal membrane, and vitreomacular traction. Mr Ellabban was trained across Japan, the UK and Egypt. He completed a master’s degree in ophthalmology at the Suez Canal University, Egypt. Then, he moved to Japan and completed a PhD at the world-renowned Kyoto University (Japan) focusing on macular diseases. After relocating to the UK, he completed twotraining fellowships on retinal surgery. Then, he was appointed as a consultant cataract and retinal surgeon at Hull University Teaching Hospitals. He is also a senior lecturer at Hull York Medical School.
