Would fully recommend Dr Magnussen - during a second opinion he spotted a hairline fracture that was overlooked by other doctors, leading to a much faster healing time with appropriate treatment that would otherwise not have happened.

I'm concerned about the procedure that I have been booked in for as the last consultant advised me that this would not be done twice. I had a cortisone injection which just lasted five months. I was told next time I would have blood taken and have this cleaned and re injected ..

Thanks for your feedback. As we discussed in our consultation it’s perfectly safe to proceed with a 2nd cortisone injection, especially since you had a good result with the last one. However if you would wish to delay your injection and return to speak with me further then I would be delighted to get you booked back in at your convenience

Mr Magnussen is one of the most caring and compassionate Orthopaedic Surgeons I have come across. Skilled but also humble and reflective. I don't think you can ask much more from a surgeon, his patients on the NHS always ask to see him again, and it is not surprising why.
