Dr Alison Falconer is a highly esteemed consultant clinical oncologist based in London who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer, bladder cancer and urological cancer, as well as metastasis and pituitary tumours. She provides state-of-the-art treatments for cancer with (intensity-modulated) radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
Dr Falconer, who consults privately at Nuffield Health Cancer Centre London, GenesisCare London Cromwell Hospital and Cromwell Hospital Private, originally qualified from the University of Cambridge in 1990. She completed six years of higher specialist training in clinical oncology in London before being appointed a consultant at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Dr Falconer has since gone on to acquire proficiency in all aspects of uro-oncology and neuro-oncology through her 14 years working at the trust, previously at Hammersmith Hospital and now at Charing Cross Hospital, where she also serves as head of the radiotherapy department.
Alongside her clinical commitments, Dr Falconer is a GMC-recognised trainer for oncology trainees and the author of a number of publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed scientific journals. She is a member of The Royal College of Physicians and a fellow of The Royal College of Radiologists.
