Just the best. Very personable, kind, caring and very friendly. Obviously top of the tree for expertise. Thank you

Professor McEvoy was well briefed but still wanted to hear our story before talking us through his expert assessment. He is a gifted communicator who is able to contextualise complex issues and detail his thoughts in an entirely comprehensible way to us, laypeople with an interest, educated through very narrow research. He is, above all, kind, and gave us the time to articulate our concerns and hopes. His humility in seeking further opinion from his MDT speaks to the quality of his care and character. We are very grateful for all of the above and, of course, his clinical experience and expertise.

Professor McEvoy is very approachable with a wonderful bedside manner. He listens carefully and takes time to go through my scans with me and my family and discuss treatment options. He is clearly extremely skilled and knowledgable about neurosurgery and neuro-oncology and I have put my trust in him for the last 12 years without hesitation.

Having been told elsewhere that my husband's brain tumour was inoperable, professor McEvoy agreed to operate. He was able to remove all the tumour that was visible on the MRI without causing further deficit. Professor McAvoy is very personable and has fantastic bed manner which is extremely helpful when navigating difficult decisions. He was very clear about the risks involved in such complex brain surgery, but we felt supported and more confident that we were making the right choice.

The doctor was clearly able to explain what the surgery will entail and where the problem was in my brain. He came across as calm, patient, clever and with lots of experience. He was able to make me comfortable and one to one session went extremely well.

Mr McEvoy and his entire team are absolutely brilliant. My family and I can’t thank them enough for all the care given to my father during his treatment for a brain tumour. Mr Mcevoy is extremely committed to give the best upmost care to his patients and we as a family will be forever grateful. Would recommend Mr Mcevoy and his entire team to anyone in need of the treatments.

I will never be able to repay Andrew McEvoy for what he did the day of my surgery for a brain tumour. As it was in a tricky location he vowed to get as much out as possible but to not expect full removal. I met him about 4 times prior to my surgery and he was extremely helpful and insightful throughout. If I ever had a question, his assistant was quick to reply with answers. On the day of the craniotomy awake surgery it was a nerve wracking time, but he made us feel extra safe and secure. When I woke up 7 hours later I found that he had removed it all. We were so happy and couldn't believe it. His after care was thorough and he monitored me as a patient very closely as I had temporarily lost my speech and some motor ability. If you are thinking of choosing him as your surgeon, don't hesitate.

Mr Mcevoy is truly an amazing consultant and amazing human being. There are simply not enough words to describe him. He was brilliant from the first consultation and I knew immediately he would help me. He has an air of understanding and is very humble and easy to talk to. He listens and does not make you feel silly for any questions you may ask. His knowledge and wealth of experience really puts your mind at rest. He is a superb surgeon. I had a brain tumour removed from my third ventricle via a craniotomy in July 2018. At least it was to gain a biopsy, at most to remove the whole tumour. He managed to remove the whole tumour which was challenging due to blood vessels adjacent to the tumour. It has now been 5 months since the surgery and am thankful and grateful to say I have no neurological deficits and have had no post op complications. I will forever be indebted to Mr Mcevoy and will remember him for the rest of my life as the person who saved my life. If you are reading this from the perspective of finding an amazing, helpful, lovely neurosurgeon then you should look no more.

There is no specific word to describe Mr Andrew McEvoy. He is an amazing doctor with real talent. What makes me describe him like this is because I live far from London yet took me as one of his patients for epilepsy surgery seeing as my local hospital wouldn't. As he knew I travel quite a distance to London, I felt like I was listened to and that he understood how I felt. When I asked questions, he gave me great in depth answers/explanations rather than brief. He told me facts and figures of what the outcome could be like after this operation so nothing would take me by surprise. I can see in myself a few changes have occurred but this hasn't upset me already knowing this could happen. Nothing major but I can see in myself my memory has declined a little bit (especially having to remember information off by heart) and that I pause mid-sentence due to not finding the correct word in what I want to say but aside from that, no other concerns. As I've only been to this hospital a few times, I cannot give any suggestions on how to improve but I will always be grateful for what Mr McEvoy has done. My life has been completely changed for the better all thanks to him!

Fantastic surgeon. Words cannot express how happy I am to have met Mr McEvoy. Just over a year ago our world came crashing down around us as a tumour was found on the right temporal lobe. One year post surgery and my husband and I are still in awe of Mr McEvoy and his work. His kind voice, mannerisms and information he gave us pre operation gave us complete confidence that he was definitely the man for the job. I thank him profusely for saving my life and biding me more time to bring up my beautiful boys.

Mr McEvoy inspires confidence. He said he hoped to remove 100% of my tumour, and he succeeded. Generally a good listener with a kind manner.
