Ms Anna Kamocka is a leading consultant bariatric, upper GI, and general surgeon based in London. Her areas of expertise include bariatric surgery, metabolic surgery, acid reflux, achalasia, gallstone removal, and postostectomy surgery. Ms Kamocka consults privately at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.

With over 15 years’ experience, Ms Kamocka earned her medical degree from the Medical University of Białystok. She completed her core surgical training at the prestigious Oxford School of Surgery, before going on to undertake surgical training at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust and specialty training within the SE Thames Deanery.

Her higher specialist training in bariatric surgery took place at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist, Ms Kamocka is passionate about fighting obesity stigma, and notably went on to accomplish two bariatric fellowships in bariatric surgery, in Bruges and at the Highland Hospital of Rochester in New York. She also holds a PhD in Bariatric Surgery from Imperial College London.

In addition to her clinical work, Ms Kamocka is a prominent figure in clinical research, with numerous publications on the effect of obesity and metabolic surgery on type 2 diabetes. She is highly regarded for her strong commitment to patient care, fostering effective multidisciplinary collaboration and advancing excellence in surgical education.
