Mr Asif Chaudry is a leading consultant robotic oesophageal cancer surgeon in London who specialises in oesophageal, gastric and stomach cancer surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, upper GI and endoscopy.
Mr Chaudry qualified from Oxford University with distinction in 1999. He undertook his training in GI and oesophagogastric cancer surgery at various centres of excellence in London such as St Mark’s Hospital, Barts and The Royal London, University College London and finally The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. His training had a particular focus on a minimally-invasive laparoscopic approach.
Upon gaining his CCT, Mr Chaudry undertook senior fellowships at St Thomas’ Hospital with an additional focus on complex open revision upper GI surgery. He completed international laparoscopic and robotic training at the Seoul National University Hospital in South Korea before returning to The Royal Marsden Hospital to work as a consultant.
Mr Chaudry is a founding member of the European Gastric Cancer Association and has an active interest in translational research at the ICR and Biomedical Research Centre. He has publications in high impact factor journals and a number of books published by Oxford University Press.
