I was referred to Mr Aylott almost ten years ago to treat my unstable spine which, on and off, causes problems, not least considerable anxiety and pain. I find it hugely reassuring to know Mr Aylott is there to help me. I cannot recommend him highly enough. In consultation, what stands out about Mr Aylott is his willingness to share his knowledge. He takes the time to explain and does so in a very clear, straightforward and unambiguous way. He’s friendly and often very funny. He’s extraordinarily perceptive, too, and picks up on small things, the things you half-said or left unsaid. During the time you are with him, you feel he is totally committed to you and to solving your problem in a way that you can understand and subscribe to, or not: the choice is yours. What he does is to take away the anxiety and give you the information you need to make an informed decision about your treatment. His approach is empowering and very effective. I have absolute confidence in Mr Aylott’s ability to help me. Whatever problems I face in the future, I know I could not be in safer hands. He’s helped me a huge amount.

After suffering intense and restricting sciatic pain for several months, which had severely restricted my mobility I contacted the Cheltenham Clinic. I had already had an MRI scan and unsuccessful cortisone injection arranged by another private provider in which I had lost all confidence because of their impersonal attitude. From my first contact with the Cheltenham Spine Clinic and my first consultation with Mr Aylott I felt reassured by the helpful and understanding attitude of everyone concerned (in marked contrast with my negative experience of the other provider). Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy at the Harley Street Clinic and 6 weeks later I am fully ambulant once more, pain free and well on the way back to the fitness level of previously. Today, at 81 years of age I am walking 2 -3 miles at a time and look forward to increasing that in the coming months. At all stages of my consultation and treatment by Mr Aylott and his team, I felt fully informed about the nature of my condition, the proposed treatment and likely outcomes. His secretarial/admin staff could not have been more helpful in organising the required tests and screening prior to my surgery. I am wholly satisfied with every aspect of my contact with the Clinic.

Two & half year ago I fell badly in our garden, dislocating my right shoulder & having a deep cut on my right shin. About two months later I started getting pain in my right hip & knee. In September 2022 I saw an orthopaedic consultant & had an MRI scan. Tendinopathy & acute Bursitis were diagnosed. Subsequently ,I decided to try & help myself & had various alternative treatments such as physio, acupuncture, laser treatment and others, none of which gave me much relief! After nearly two years I saw a second orthopaedic surgeon & had another MRI which still said Tendinopathy. I decided to tried cranial osteopathy but after several weeks & no improvement it was suggested I have an MRI of my lower spine. This took me at last to Casper Aylott. He immediately said he knew just what was wrong & that all the treatment I had tried were a waste of time & money! The next MRI of my lumber spine proved him absolutely right! I had Mild scoliosis with grade 1 degenerative spondylolisthesis L2/3 with disc herniation,moderate stenosis and right L3 compression. Mr Aylott explained various options for treatment ,and in May I went to his Harley Street Hospital & had Right L3 transforaminal injection, caudle epidural & facet joint injections . I am glad to say that the injections have eased the pain considerably & I no longer need pain killers. I go swimming ,play gentle table tennis & do gentle exercise. I visited Mr Aylott's 'One Stop' clinic in Cheltenham following a recommendation from a friend which was supported by others who knew of him. After a consultation and MRI scan I was given a clear diagnosis with options for treatment of the disc herniation which had been causing sciatic pain over an 11 year period. I had complete confidence in Mr Aylott's expertise in spine issues and appreciated his clear and sound explanations. I opted for surgery and Mr Aylott performed a microdiscectomy on me just 3 weeks later at the London Spine Unit, Harley Street. I was admitted at 8.15am and walked out of the hospital at 3.15pm the same day feeling amazingly well. Now six weeks on from my surgery I have no more sciatic or back pain and at 74 feel fit and mobile once again. I have several friends who have back issues and have naturally recommended him to them.

I had an incredible life-changing experience, thanks to Almighty God, with whose blessings I came in contact with Mr. Casper Aylott, a successful surgeon and a gem of a person. He is a thorough professional and blessed with a Midas touch. He is brilliant with immaculate diagnostic skills. I have been suffering from sciatica pain for over two years and have tried various treatments with no success. When I visited him the first time, he diagnosed me with a bull's eye. I was highly impressed with him as he reached a precise conclusion on day one. He explained to me very clearly the root cause and the remedy, including the risks involved. He also advised me on the rate of success in my case if I opted for surgery, which was the best option with a long-lasting cure. I was full of doubts and had several questions about the surgery, including the risks involved, his experience and recovery time. He patiently answered all my questions to my satisfaction. On the same day, I was able to decide on the surgery. The key factors that helped me make a decision were as follows. -Confidence, knowledge, expertise and positivity of Mr. Aylott -The surgery would be of a minimally invasive nature -I would be able to walk on my feet a few hours after surgery and shall be discharged from the hospital the same day after surgery -I shall not be bedridden after surgery; I must keep myself mobile and help with daily life routines. The exciting part is he kept his word. I could walk with ease soon after a few hours after surgery without sciatica pain; I was discharged from the hospital and went back to my accommodation the same day in a taxi. A few days back, I visited him for a follow-up after complete recovery; he suggested I return to work.
