Dr Chetna Kang is a highly acclaimed consultant psychiatrist specialising in corporate mental wellbeing, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorders, behavioural addictions and adult ADD. Her private practice is at Nightingale Hospital. She also has a special interest in spirituality and mental health, medically unexplained symptoms and mental disorders related to chronic physical health problems.
Dr Kang graduated from Imperial College London in 1999 as a medical doctor, and thereafter became a full member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, specialising in psychiatry at the London Deanery. She also works at Trust Plus Private Health, Northwick Park Hospital in Watford and for the NHS. She has over 20 years of experience diagnosing and treating mental health disordes and is fluent in both English and Hindi.
Dr Kang sits on the Royal College of Psychiatrists Public Engagement Editorial Board and the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Special Interest Group for spirituality in psychiatry.
For over three years she has held a weekly mental health and disability radio show with BBC called Shrink Wrapped and regularly features on Radio 4's Thought for the Day and Beyond Belief. For two consecutive years, she was runner up for the Royal College of Psychiatrists Public Educator of the Year Award.
She is passionate about reducing the stigma that surrounds mental health and continues to work towards helping all those with mental health disorders.
