Dr Constantine Alifrangis is a consultant medical oncologist specialising in urological cancer treatment, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer and testicular cancer, alongside penile cancer and rare genitourinary cancers. He is also highly experienced in managing advanced prostate cancer. He privately practises at The Harley Street Clinic, The Prostate Centre, LOC – Leaders in Oncology Care, and LOC at Chelsea, while his NHS base is University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Dr Alifrangis graduated with distinction from Guy's, King's and St Thomas’ medical school at the University of London, earning the university gold medal for medicine. He completed postgraduate training in London and Brighton before joining the Imperial College medical oncology rotation. During his time as an academic clinical fellow at Hammersmith Hospital, he focused on hormone resistance in prostate cancer.
He then secured a Wellcome Trust fellowship to pursue a PhD at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute and the University of Cambridge, where his research explored the link between cancer genetics and the efficacy of novel therapies.
An advocate for integrating genomics into clinical practice, Dr Alifrangis has extensively researched drug resistance and personalised cancer treatment. His work has been published in leading journals such as the 'Journal of Clinical Oncology', and he was awarded the prestigious Sylvia Lawler Prize by the Royal Society of Medicine's oncology section.
Dr Alifrangis is also the lead medical oncologist for testicular and penile cancer at his NHS base, where he continues to advance the care of patients with rare genitourinary cancers.
