Professor Dorota Dworakowska is a highly experienced specialist in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and general medicine. She has a particular interest in oncological endocrinology (managing thyroid, parathyroid, pituitary, and adrenal nodules), cardiovascular endocrinology (addressing conditions such as hypertension, prediabetes, hyperinsulinemia, lipids, and PCOS), and antenatal endocrinology (treating thyroid and prolactin-related issues before and during IVF and pregnancy).
Her extensive training spans multiple countries. She completed her endocrinology and diabetes training in the UK at renowned institutions, including Barts and The London Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. Her general medicine training was undertaken at the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland and at prominent German institutions, including Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg and Katharinen Hospital in Stuttgart.
Professor Dworakowska has served as a consultant physician in Medicine, Endocrinology, and Diabetes at both King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital. Currently, she provides private medical care to both national and international patients in the UK. She also holds a professorial role at the Medical University of Gdansk in Poland and was an honorary senior clinical lecturer in Cancer Studies at King’s College London.
Recognised for her academic contributions, Professor Dworakowska holds the prestigious title of Professor of Medicine, awarded by the President of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda. She is a member of the Polish Academy of Science and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, alongside authoring book chapters and reviews. Her research contributions and charitable efforts include serving as a Fund Adviser for the Endocrine Cancer Research Fund at King’s College Hospital Charity.
Professor Dworakowska has received numerous international accolades and fellowships from esteemed organizations, such as the Foundation for Polish Science and EU grants. She was also part of the prestigious TOP 500 Innovators in Research Commercialization program at Oxford and Cambridge, highlighting her commitment to advancing both clinical practice and research.
