Mr Gary Maytham is a top consultant vascular surgeon based in London, who specialises in treating varicose veins and venous conditions, peripheral arterial disease, and abdominal aortic aneurysms. He is also well-versed in treating diabetic foot conditions. He holds or has held several prominent positions, including Care Group Lead for the St George Hospital's Vascular Institute and Clinical Lead for Vascular Trauma at the Major Trauma Centre. He is currently the Goverance Lead for St George's Vascular Institute. He is also responsible for delivery of vascular services at East Surrey Hospital, where he serves as an honorary consultant. Mr Maytham completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, before moving to the United Kingdom in 1998 after he qualified to continue his surgical training in the South West Thames region and at the Royal London Hospital. He went on to earn a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from the University of Sheffield for postgraduate vascular research investigating clinical recovery in a model of chronic moderate ischaemia.

My ability to communicate with Mr Maytham's secretary was questionable. In fact I struggled and never got a response. However Mr Maytham appeared to have received my communications. The consultation itself and Gatwick Spire facility reception was excellent.
