Mr Ayman Khaier is a leading consultant ophthalmologist based in Essex and London specialising in strabismus (squint), cataract surgery and neuro-ophthalmology, alongside paediatric ophthalmology and general ophthalmology. His private practice is based at Spire Hartswood Hospital and Spire London East Hospital, while his NHS trust is Barking, Havering and Redbridge University NHS Trust.
With over 25 years of clinical and surgical experience in general and subspecialist ophthalmology, Mr Khaier's fellowship training was completed at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital in paediatric and neuro-ophthalmology, as well as at the renowned corneo plastic unit in East Grinstead for cornea and anterior segment.
Mr Khaier's also has extensive expertise in managing eye movements, double vision (diplopia) and eye deviations in both children and adults, using a combination of nonsurgical and surgical methods.
Mr Khaier has a particular interest in managing double vision, especially for patients at risk of developing this condition post-cataract surgery, or those affected by neurological or neurosurgical conditions.
