He has been continuously engaging in various different research and quality improvement-related projects, such as the production of a care pathway specifically designed for memory service and quality accreditation for inpatient wards offered by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Dr Basit is also regularly offers teachings and is an honorary visiting associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King's College London as well as Imperial College London.
