Mr Kia Rezajooi is a Consultant Neurosurgeon and Spinal Surgeon at Cleveland Clinic London and at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), recognized for his expertise in complex spinal disorders. He previously served as the Clinical Lead of one of Europe’s largest Spinal Surgery Units and played a pivotal role in establishing the North and West London Regional Spinal Network, where he was Chair and Clinical Lead from 2017 to 2021.
Born and educated in London, Mr Rezajooi studied Medicine at Bristol University before completing post-graduate training at St Mary’s Hospital, London, and advanced Neurosurgical training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN). In 2007, he was appointed to the prestigious NHNN and RNOH Complex Spinal Fellowship, becoming a Consultant at RNOH in 2008 and later its co-director.
Mr Rezajooi earned an MD (Res) degree from University College London in 2011 for groundbreaking research in spinal cord injury repair. He served as Head of Research for the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) from 2018 to 2021 and has advised key organizations such as NICE and NIHR on spinal procedures.
With numerous international publications and lectures, Mr Rezajooi has made significant contributions to the understanding and treatment of spinal cord injuries, myelopathy, spinal tumours, and chronic neck and back pain.
