Dr Simon Prangnell is a consultant clinical neuropsychologist whose services are available through e-consultation and at the Thames Neuropsychology clinic in London. He specialises in Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, functional neurological disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Dr Prangnell trained at the Universities of Birmingham, Oxford, and Bristol. In 2021, he helped establish a dedicated psychological medicine staff support service at Oxford University Hospitals, where he was also the Clinical Director for Psychological Medicine. He is an external examiner for the University of Bristol for the clinical neuropsychology qualifications.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Prangnell conducts research into psychological factors that influence surgical outcomes, cross-cultural neuropsychology, and the neuropsychology of deep brain stimulation.
