In recent years there have been several developments in dementia care. Aducanumab and lercanimab are two new drugs which are part of a new groups of drugs which can reverse the progress of dementia. Cardiac care has also progressed enormously. Just thirty or forty years ago, dying from heart disease was common but nowadays, blood pressure control and statins have significantly improved cardiac problems.
