Dr Ahmed was really kind and patient with me. I felt he listened really well, which was reflected in both his notes and the actions he took. Not only did he help with my immediate concerns, but also referred me to a specialist for a secondary health issue which had been ignored by others. Mr Sadek has been absolutely phenomenal. I say this having seen several consultants for chronic, thoracic spine stiffness. The one thing that puts Mr Sadek apart is how comprehensive, and genuine he is with triage, diagnosis and treatment. I visited Mr Sadek following long suffering back problems. My Sadek is a very conscientious and personable consultant who takes the time to listen to his patients and methodically diagnoses the patients issues. Appointments are not rushed and diagnoses/procedures are fully and clearly explained. I have undergone two minor procedures which both went well, and I am now relatively paid free and much for mobile than before. I would highly recommend Mr Sadek to any person experience back/spinal issues.

My experience with "I Want Great Care" is that you can't fully trust the doctors with only 5 star reviews published. Whilst they may be great doctors, it usually means that they're choosing not to publish lower rated feedback. That was definitely so in my case anyway, unfortunately. Getting very tired of untruthful doctors, it seems to be the norm these days when you aren't a straightforward case

I found Mr Sadek to be so kind and very professional, he explained everything fully to me. He showed kindness and compassion. I had put my operation off for years because I was so scared when I need not have been. He reassured me and on the day I just felt so calm and relaxed and knew everything would be ok. I would not hesitate to assure anyone having an operation that you will be in good hands with Mr Sadek so don’t be like I was and put it off forever because it could make a big difference to your life.

I had an extremely positive experience with Mr Sadek and his office from start to end. I visited him for severe lower back pain, I was seen after one day and within one week I had an MRI scan done, reviewed, and a diagnosis. I appreciated the empathy and the thorough explanations which reassured me as a patient, generated understanding of my next steps, set my recovery expectations, and clarified what I have to do to get there. Dr Sadek is a wonderful doctor and extremely helpful, he takes care to thoroughly explain scans/results and discuss treatment pathways. Dr Ahmed and his PA Maryam were excellent and accommodating throughout the entire process. I had to reschedule a few times and Maryam was always very prompt and flexible. I visited Mr Sadek on a brief trip to London as I had been in pain and was experiencing restricted mobility which no one in my home country had been able to diagnose. Mr Sadek listened and tested me and sent me for an MRI to pinpoint the underlying cause, and then had a tele-conference with me to discuss the results. After all of this, he answered several questions for me and sent me a detailed report so that I could see a local practitioner for follow up. I felt very well cared for and was thoroughly impressed by the care received.

After a lumbar Microdiscectomy and Cerebrospinal Fluid Leak I can safely say that Mr Sadek goes above and beyond to ensure I got the right care I needed. I felt a 100% safe and validated in the fragile situation I was in and will forever be grateful that he is the consultant who performed surgery twice. His Medical Secretary was even on stand-bye on weekend and as things took a turn Mr Sadek even performed surgery on Sunday morning himself which I am highly grateful for.

Mr Sadek was amazing with me. I was hospitalised whilst on holiday in France with a slipped disc in my lower back. When I got back to the UK the first consultant I saw immediately recommended an operation and wanted to book me in for surgery the following week. I was unsure as I was pretty much pain free by the time I met the first consultant so, upon the recommendation of a friend with a similar condition, I met Mr Sadek for a second opinion. Mr Sadek reviewed my MRI scan and examined me. He found that I had 5/5 leg strength with one test and 4/5 for the second and felt that an operation wasn't necessary or wanted at my age (I am 53). To confirm, Mr Sadek booked me in for a nerve conduction study with Dr David Ingram and this confirmed regeneration of my of my nerves. Mr Sadek recommended a course of physiotherapy and wished me all the best. Fantastic chap. Can't recommend him enough.

My consultations with Mr Sadek have been a pleasurable experience in that he took the time to understand my health and lifestyle and displayed great empathy. He took the time to explain the anatomy of the spine to me, interpret my MRI results and discuss how to best handle my spinal condition. I had a transforaminal epidural which significantly improved my radicular symptoms enabling me to stop taking pain relief. In my follow up appointment he gave me further practical advice on how to optimise my health, recommended physio and immediately went onto his computer to write to a physiotherapist on my behalf. He also gave me advice on the the best type of office chair to use. His consultation letters that follow always arrive the next day and are very detailed which I find very helpful. Mr Sadek is the friendliest and professional consultant I have had the pleasure to meet. I would highly recommend him. Thank you.

This is a follow up to our review in June, regarding my husband's surgery in April, replacement of 2 cervical discs. Michael experienced reduced pain within days of the surgery and functionality started to return very quickly. Now, just over 5 months after the surgery, everything is going well and Michael is just about back to most normal activities, albeit, with caution. With regular massage on the shoulders and neck and Volaren cream locally he now does without pain medication for the muscle pain caused by the lengthening of the muscles to insert the 2 discs. We could not have asked for better care from Mr. Sadek, as stated previously, he represents what doctors should be and the care in the clinic is the standard that hospitals should be looking to emulate, there was nothing concerning his surgery or the stay in the clinic that was not to the highest standard. My husband considers himself very lucky to have "found" Mr. Sadek.

I suffer from a degenerative disc disease and have had 3 previous surgeries on my spine. When I saw Dr Sadek it was for my fourth surgery. The care and treatment I received was excellent. Indeed, the surgery went so well that I was able to get up from bed and walk about only 3 hours after I had come out of theatre. I had no pain, and was feeling so positive that I felt I could have gone back home on the day of the surgery. Mr Sadek was exceptional, and I felt completely at ease. I was 100% confident in his abilities and he was personable and highly professional. I would also like to comment about the general care I received at King George's Hospital. From the nurses, the anaesthetists and all the surgery team. It was first class and almost a pleasure to have been there.

Mr Sadek and his team (and neuro nurses) were brilliant during my stay in king George hospital. When arriving on the ward, the neuro nurse was chatting to me, making me feel at ease. You just cannot praise Mr. Sadek enough; we are truly grateful, you have given my husband his life back; after so much suffering and no other specialist ever finding what was wrong to create such pain and disability, Mr. Sadek went the extra mile, diagnosed him even without seeing the exams (and then ordered more to be 100% sure) and did his level best so that Michael could be operated on as soon as possible. Michael felt at ease with Mr. Sadek as soon as he met him and completely confident. It is obviously important to Mr Sadek that his patients feel valued and listened to, he also included our family member who helped Michael through this, Michael was already at a point that he needed to have assistance to get through this. From barely functioning to back to doing what he likes to do (slowly!) in 6 weeks, is nothing less than a miracle; Michael never expected such incredible results and his nerve pain has almost totally disappeared. It is impossible to convey the horrible pain he was in nor how much of his body was effected by two completely flattened discs, prior to the operation. We only wish that we had "discovered" Mr. Sadek sooner, Michael's pain and disability have been a major problem for some years. The explanations, information and hospital treatment in all aspects were as close to perfect that anyone could wish for. Mr. Sadek has such a remarkable personal touch. Dr. Sadek was simply born to be a Doctor and possesses that rare combination of professionalism, expertise, and empathy. Mr Sadek explained my problems with me, explained what needed to be done in language I could understand , made me feel at ease and carried out the procedure withi 28 days of my first appointment. The clinic and all of its staff were brilliant from the first consultation to being discharged, room very clean and comfortable, food was well presented and tasty, nothing was too much trouble, highly recommended.

This is my first time seeing Mr Sadek, I was extremely happy with the service received. The knowledge and speed of the assessment was far greater than expected. To have a full understanding of the MRI scan and detail it went into to assure me what the result where and what would be needed for a care plan was second to none. On meeting Mr Sadek I was greeted with a smile which put me at ease straight away. I had already been told by the NHS consultant that I had two disks that needed to be decompressed. Mr Sadek explained by showing me the MRI which had been done in September that the Disk above the ones I knew about had started to decompress as well. As my pain was intermittent in that area it didn't surprise me. He then checked my leg movements etc. I found it difficult to get off the bench and he assisted me to do so. He then explained that he would be taking my fascet joints away from the area of my spine where the disks were compressed. This would help the disks to reinflate. He told me of the risks and that there could be a small chance of theses risks happening. Before the end of the appointment he made sure I was fully inform of risks, dangers and the best outcome. I then had my pre-op checks done with two nurses who were really nice and again put me at my ease. The clinic kept me informed of any changes to my operation date and time I should attend the Clinic. On the day of my operation the nurses on the ward were really lovely and kept me informed of when I would be going into theatre. The Nurse in charge escorted me down to operating theatre was lovely and made sure I was relaxed. Once I had woken from the operation and was back in my room I felt there was a lot of people there checking on me and felt a little overwhelmed . This may have been because of the anesthetic. The care of the nurses throughout the night was amazing. They were attentive making sure that I was comfortable and I had everything i needed. They reminded me that my pain medication was there at the press of a button. Also checking on the dressing and drainage tube several times each time bringing in a couple of bottles of water as I was drinking a lot. The next day my drip had come out and also my drain from my wound so they checked to see if this was ok. They took them away completely. The Physio came in to show me my exercise routine and again later to make sure I could walk up and down stairs. The nurse in charge came into the room to have a chat and said that although I was ready to go home she would like me to stay until the following day to make sure my pain levels were under control. During the night again I was in pain and the nurses were really attentive and brought in pain killers and water when I needed them. The next day I was practicing my walking whilst waiting for my medication. Mr Sadek came into see how I was doing. He said "It was a pleasure to see me smiling" I would like to say thank you to Mr Sadek and his whole team for giving me the opportunity to start rebuilding my body and for their dedication to their patients.

Neurosurgery is such a specialist area, the road to finding help was difficult. I felt my condition was not recognised by the general health service and it was pure persistence got me to meet Mr Sadek. He recognised my pain & my anxiety about my initial condition. I am currently 8 weeks post major spinal surgery and recovering well. Mr Sadek put me at ease before the surgery with my consultation appointments and again on the morning of the surgery explaining to me exactly what he and his team were going to be doing. Because of Mr Sadek valuable knowledge and experience I trusted him implicitly. I came to see Dr Sadek with a herniated disc in my lower back. I had been struggling to be taken seriously and has been told there weren't many options until I came to Dr Sadek. He walked me through the options and we decided to go through with an epidural steroid and painkiller injection with the aim of reducing my sciatic pain down from a 7 to a 3. I'm now 6 weeks post injection and my pain has reduced down to a 0 most of the time, and a 3 or 4 on occasion. I'm super happy with the result and can walk and exercise pain free again

He is an extremely competent doctor, listened carefully to my complaint and questions, took the time to explain thoroughly my diagnosis and the pathology of my condition, and gave very helpful advice as to how to avoid a recurrence. Mr Sadek was able to diagnose the problem with my lower back very quickly. His opinion was different from what I had been advised previously by other medical professionals when the injury first occurred many years ago. The spinal injections diagnosis procedure has seemed so far to prove that Mr Sadek's opinion was correct and I have the comfort of knowing that if/when the severe pain returns, there is an ablation procedure that will provide longer term relief.

Doctor Sadek was caring and explained everything to me before the procedure. Of the procedures he explained i opted for the injection as oposed to surgery. I consulted with Mr Sadek in February 2022 at the Schoen Clinic regarding a prolapsed disc. This was initially to get a 2nd opinion, as the NHS had suggested that I would need surgery. Mr Sadek was very conservative in his approach and informed me that surgery was not necessarily the next step. He referred me to to his colleague at the Schoen Clinic for a nerve conduction test who happily reported that the nerve was regenerating. Mr Sadek suggested that my condition may improve without the need for surgery. I then had 2 more follow up consultations and am now happy to say that my condition has improved dramatically and it looks highly likely that I will not need surgery. Throughout this process, Mr Sadek was very kind and informative, answering all my questions in a clear manner. He was very generous with his time in order to make sure that I had all the information I needed. I would highly recommend Mr Sadek and everybody at the Schoen Clinic. In what was a stressful time, everyone there made me feel very reassured about my condition. Thank you

I had suffered with sciatica down my left side for several years, including pins and needles and shin/foot pain. I really wasn't keen on undergoing surgery and Mr. Sadek agreed to support me with alternative treatments which may have removed the need for surgery. He prescribed me a course of strong pain killers, which had little effect, followed by a course of physiotherapy, which also had little impact. He fully explained the surgical procedure to me on more than one occasion and the possible associated risks. I had the operation confident that this was the only possible solution to this life impacting condition. Surgery went well and the sciatica and associated pain has now been removed.

From the first consultation Mr Sadek allayed all my fears and worries regarding my condition. With his assurances I felt completely confident that there would be a positive change in what had been causing difficulty managing every day tasks and activities. I had restricted mobility due to a yet to be diagnosed issue with my lower back. I was in fairly constant pain, had muscle spasms, pins and needles and numbness in my leg muscles. I was reliant on crutches due to the muscle spasms which would randomly occur causing weakness in my right leg. Mr Sadek diagnosed a cyst on my spine, some osteoarthritis and a minor disc issue. The cyst being the main issue as it was compressing nerves, which was the cause of my symptoms During my hospital admission for surgery Mr Sadek was generous with his time and fully explained what the procedure involved and expected outcomes. The information I received at every stage was exemplary and shared in way which was easy to understand. I felt part of the decision making about my treatment and care. He answered all my questions with patience, very much caring that I fully understood the procedure. I am no longer in pain, no muscle spasm, no need for crutches and able to carry out everyday tasks and activities again. It is clear that Mr Sadek is passionate about his work and that he offers the very best for all his patients in order to improve their everyday lives. If I could I would give Mr Sadek more stars! I don’t have word to describe my experience. He was very professional and extremely considerate from the moment I had my first appointment. Through my journey he kept me informed, he calmed me down and assured me that everything will be ok. He came to speak to me before the surgery to make sure I was ok and explain what will be happening during my stay. Having a health issue is always scary but having a problem with your spine is definitely one of the scariest situations. And knowing that you have a lesion in your spine clearly can be defined as a terrifying experience, or at least this is how I felt. I'm used to analyzing problems/situations and I don't immediately trust someone unless I don't have a reason for it, I analyze every small fragment of the conversation. With Mr. Sadek, I had no doubt after the first appointment. He clearly had a precise and detailed approach to analyze my case but at the same time, he let me ask any random question I had and provided precise and detailed answers. In the follow-up appointment, he provided a precise diagnosis and clear evidence to support it. Mr. Sadek is someone I absolutely trust because of his in-depth knowledge and because one can be sure he will not leave any small detail unchecked.

Mr Sadek performed a c6-c7 cervical cage disectomy and fusion back in December 2019. I had a cycling accident that left me with arm, shoulder and hand pain that was unbearable most of the time. I had trapped nerves From the damaged disc area in my neck and needed to be operated on. Mr Sadek is a very professional man with a great eye for care. I had surgery on the 17/7/2020 it was from C5/6C6/7 , I cannot thank him enough, it has been a stressful time for us all in recent months but Mr Sadek was totally reassuring. I first saw Dr.Sadek in December 2019. I had been referred by my GP. Mr. Sadek informed me that I had a lesion on the spine which he had not seen before. He initiated a further blood test and when he phoned me he told me this was clear. He then arranged further MRI, CAT Scans and a PET Scan at St.Thomas, Mammogram and blood tests. He has phoned me to tell me that all my tests have come back clear but he had to check out all possible reasons for the lesion, He has treated me with dignity and empathy throughout this investigation. I cannot thank him enough for the investigations he has undertaken.

Dr. Sadek works miracles. Prior to having issues with my back, I was a physically active 48-year-old (I ran 5k five times per week, cycled 60-100 miles and was a 3rd Dan grade in Jujitsu). In August 2019 I was struck down with back pain and sciatica. I tried the usual non-invasive visits to Osteopaths, Physios, and Chiropractors, etc, but none worked. By October 2019, I'd had several visits to A&E and been prescribed every kind of pain relief. My last to A&E visit was by Ambulance on Entonox (gas and air), after collapsing at home unable to support my own weight. It was at this visit I was referred to Dr. Sadek's clinic by the A&E team. After receiving an MRI scan, an appointment was arranged with Dr. Sadek and he immediately diagnosed the problem (herniated disc). He took time to explain the scan pictures in detail, and to find out more about me; my activity levels, my job, my fitness regime, my underlying health conditions (including type 1 diabetes). My main concern was being able to maintain my activity levels and fitness, and once Dr. Sadek understood this, he made it his main concern too. He recommended to correct the problem and reassured me he would have me running again within 4 months (I'd like to pretend I didn't believe him, but he was so reassuring it was difficult not to). I had the operation mid-Jan 2020 and 24 hours after the operation began walking (albeit slowly). It was the first time I had walked without sciatic pain for 6 months and without heel pain for 2 years. I can confirm as of May 2020 (four months post-operation, as promised) I am cycling and running again. This is entirely down to Dr. Sadek. I cannot thank him enough. If you have to chance to be under the care of Dr. Sadek, take it!. Trust him, listen to him, and have faith in him. He has given me my life back. The man works miracles. Jason P

From the very first consultation Mr Sadek instilled you with confidence. I had a severe complaint and for the previous 18 months felt that I was being fob off, this in spite of a consultant saying I presented with clinical evidence that showed urgent surgical intevention was required. On the day of the surgery, Mr Sadek saw me to reassure me and to make sure that all was in order. I then underwent the surgery and transferred to a ward. When I came around from the anaesthesia, I was simply amazed that the excruciating pain that I had suffered just hours earlier was gone. I thought to myself, "surely, give it a few hours and it will be back." I am very pleased to say I was wrong. It has been about 6 months since the surgery and I am very, very pleased to say that the surgery has been a complete success. On a follow-up telephone call, Mr Sadek remembered that I still had disc problems in my back and assured me that he would get me seen to as soon as possible. In fact he said he would arrange for another MRI scan so that when elective operations were restarted, I would be ready for treatment. I know that this profession is their "job". but what a difference a little mutual respect and empathy can make! If you are fortunate to appear on his list for surgery, rest easy, you are in the hands of a man who takes pride in his work

I had been referred to Broomfield, then to Basildon Hospitals; had 5 injections, physio, CBT, counselling under their pain management to no improvement; and yet they refused to operate on my spine due to the risk. When I was referred to Queen’s, I was seen first by Mr Dubey who started his investigation, then left. What started as moderate became overwhelming, debilitating , severe pain. The newly appointed Mr. Sadek saw me on 17/10/19, listened to me with impeccable and courteous bedside manner, had me go to x-rays on the same day, agreed to operate as soon as could be arranged and by 25/2/20 he indeed fulfilled his medical vow. It took him and his colleagues over 7 hours to perform one of their most complicated and complex surgeries. I expected to have the scar running the length of my spine, yet as he performed it as key- hole, I have only the smallest of surface scars , and miraculously I could stand and walk within 4 days! He checked on me while I was hospitalised, instructed his secretary to keep me informed before and after the operation and he has been taking the time and effort to explain reasons and procedures-to the smallest detail- to me. I started to rue the day he will discharge me , as I feel safe knowing I can send him a message and he would actually do something accordingly. So, when I am singing his praise, I have all the reasons as I explained above. To any patient, I would say he is a brilliant surgeon and to fully trust him. God bless!

My experience with Dr Sadek has been first class. The day I first hobbled in Dr Sadek office I was in so much pain I felt my life was over, I had two of my sisters with me who can be overpowering in a nice way. He treated myself and my family with compassion and understanding. I had not had an accident and had no idea how I injured myself, people were telling me that i was depressed and it was all in my head. The pain was so severe that i had been holding hotwater bottles on my back and had scared and burnt myself. I had MRI scans and when i went back to Dr Sadek the first thing he said when i walked in the room was "Keri i believe you", he went on to explain what the MRI scans had revealed. I was so happy although in pain that i had a doctor who believed in me. He suggested some changes in my medication and said that he was going to discuss my case with a consultant in the pain clinic and other collegues. I had been waiting for an appointment in the pain clinic for 5 months following a referral from my GP I saw Dr Sadek this week, he was so happy to see how much improvement i had made he was geniuely pleased to see how i was doing. He must see so many patients but he remembered my sisters to the point of saying one of you is missing. Being a medical secretary myself for the last 25 years i have worked with a lot of doctors. I can safely say i have never met a consultant with such a "bedside" manner. He got me through the worst time of my life by listening, believing and caring for me. Dr Sadek for me is more than a neurosurgeon he encouraged me and listened to me and believed totally that he kept me going and to be strong again. I really cant recommend or thank him enough.

For many years I have suffered with pins and needles down both arms .I had an MRI and the results showed that my cervical discs C5,6&7 were compressed. He explained the operation called Anterior Cervical Decompression and Fusion and said I would be feel much better and was very informative as to the procedure.After surgery in October 2019 i was instantly pleased to able to tell him I was pins and needles free. I would like to take this opportunity to thank this most wonderful man who has quite literally given me my life back. I had suffered for many years with Sciatica and have had several MRI scans, the latter of which was in October 2018 which revealed that I needed a L4/L5 Decompression Operation. Whilst waiting for this operation my consultant at the time left the hospital and I was referred to Mr Sadek in September 2019. I was by now walking with the aid of a walking stick because the pain in my back and leg was so intense I couldn't walk without it, the long term prognosis was that I may even end up in a wheelchair! On seeing how much my mobility had deteriorated Mr Sadek referred me immediately to Queens Day Surgery the following week. It was at this meeting that Mr Sadek told me, and I quote "after I have operated you will be able to throw away that stick". I have been compelled to write to you because it is now 8 weeks later and I have regained full mobility, thrown away my stick as promised and am at last pain free! My family and I want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for answering our prayers, our gratitude knows no bounds, you truly are a Miracle Man! Hi all, my name is Andrew Wylie, i'm a very sporty guy and spent my whole life taking on sporting challenges. Earlier this year i started finding it very difficult to walk and rapidly becoming worse each week, after getting an MRI scan and a referal to Mr Sadek i was diagnosed with a spinal cord compression in my neck and broken vertebra, i was in surgery within weeks due to Mr Sadek and his team, they are all so caring, and professional people. Today only 5 weeks after my surgery im well on the way to recovery, walking easier and getting through the nerve damage stages, i saw Mr Sadek yesterday for my check up and he is so happy with my recovery.
