Mr Davies was recommended to me by someone who had breast cancer. The clinic appeared busy but Mr Davies did not rush me at all and I felt very at ease. His manner is friendly and professional. He recognized my medical issues perfectly within a very short time. I was apprehensive as I knew the breast examination would be a vital part of my consultation but Mr Davies has a wonderful way of chatting at the same time so much that I hardly noticed it being completed. I noticed that he followed every person through their investigations and kept track at each stage of the process like spinning plates, however I did not feel rushed. He made huge efforts to keep it all very personable to each individual. I would highly recommend Mr Davies and had great confidence in him but more importantly I feel he is just the doctor I would by my side if I had needed further investigations or treatments.

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received at Cromwell hospital, from booking the appointment at a very short notice to the way the examination and scan were conducted. All staff were polite and efficient. Dr Davies took the time to listen to my concerns and explain the causes of my symptoms to me. This was very helpful to make me understand what was going on and put me at ease. I also received emails with further information which is not common practice.

I was referred to Mr Davies after a routine health assessment identified some suspicious breast tissue. Tests revealed DCIS / early breast cancer and I subsequently underwent surgery at the Cromwell Hospital. Fortunately, as it I was caught so early, I did not require any further treatment. At all stages Mr Davies explained clearly what was happening and why, and gave me the opportunity to ask the questions I needed to make a confident decision on the treatment needed. The surgery went very well, I recovered quickly and l was very happy with the results of the reconstruction. Mr Davies takes a very caring approach and talked me through a range of other services available to support me through the process. He made me feel like a person rather than just another patient, which was very important at what was quite a difficult time. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others who have concerns or require further investigation into potential issues with their breasts.

Dr Giles Davies was absolutely amazing. He squeezed me in last minute gave me an appointment where he explained to me possible explanations for the problems I was having , whilst not making me feel more stressed an anxious. The doctors and nurses made my experience a good one especially as I was quite anxious about coming in, they were quite reassuring and I was impressed with how quickly and how well I was attended to at the BUPA Basinghall breast clinic (although it was not on the drop down list for locations on this form) especially as I was informed it was new. Giles was very personable and I felt confident in his knowledge and decisions around my care. I felt he took my concerns seriously and acted to reassure me with follow up tests and explanations of the results. Giles is clearly very passionate however I’d suggest a little more listening and engagement with asking questions would have allowed him to better appreciate the understanding I have of my body and presenting symptoms. That being said, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Giles to my friends and family and should I have future concerns about my breast health I’d hope to be able to be seen by Giles again.

I went to see Dr Davis as I worried about possible breast cancer. I had a mammogram and biopsy on the NHS before and was not happy how that was handled (no information given to me, had to wait weeks for results etc). Dr Giles reassured me and after a very informative consultation I had a mammogram which luckily was all good. Dr Davis took his time to listen to me and I feel so much better and reassured. I will definitely continue to see him for my next screening.

Mr Davies put me at ease as soon as he introduced himself. He assured me that I would have the results of my breast lump, found over the Easter weekend, before I left The BUPA Cromwell hospital. Thankfully, after a consultation, examination, mammogram and ultrasound I had the relief of knowing there was nothing to be concerned about. Mr Davies followed up with emails containing my mammogram report, consultation review and breast care information. I have no hesitation in highly recommending him.

When I was diagnosed with the Brca gene I felt totally overwhelmed and absolutely terrified. I was referred to Giles and he explained my options in a such a reassuring, patient and thorough way that he really helped me see a way through it. . I subsequently had my preventative mastectomy and reconstruction under his care. His care during and after the surgery and since, has been wonderful and he is always very happy to explain things or answer my many questions. I consulted Mr Davies at the end of November for my routine annual check-up at The Bupa Cromwell Hospital. This was my first visit to this hospital, however I have travelled to see Mr Davies at several different hospitals over the years as I would not consider going to any other breast surgeon. Mr Davies operated on me in 2009 to remove my breast cancer and when I have my annual mammograms the radiographers are always impressed with my virtually invisible scars. However, not only is he an amazing surgeon, he has an incredible insight into how I am feeling and has always treated me with the utmost care and sensitivity. He is also great at following up with advice on how to stay well and keep healthy, I highly recommend him.

He explained clearly his suspected diagnosis and his thought processes behind this as well as reasons why he ruled out other possibilities. He then sent me for an ultrasound and blood tests to confirm his diagnosis and that he correctly ruled out anything more serious. He was very friendly and made you feel very at ease.

Giles Davies always takes time to listen and answer any questions clearly. He is very kind and empathetic. My surgery for breast cancer was arranged very speedily and the follow up and results from the biopsies. I never feel rushed when I have appointments with him. It is good having a mammogram with an instant result - no waiting for 2 weeks for a report. I would highly recommend Mr Davies for dealing with breast cancer issues.

I saw Mr Davies due to concerns about a lump in the breast region which luckily turned out to be nothing of concern. I went to see him because he had successfully treated my mother ten years previously when she had breast cancer. My mother's treatment and mastectomy was not to be taken lightly and yet, Mr Davies was the very best of surgeons we could hope for. He was kind to ALL the family because he knew how precious my mother was to us all. He also performed reconstructive surgery following her mastectomy when my mother was able and it was so superb that my daughter of 14 remarked to her grandmother (when she saw her in a bathing suit) "Grandma, did your great grow back?". He is an amazing, kind and committed Doctor who has a genuine desire to make women feel better about their bodies without embarrassment. He has a vocation and is a rare find.

If I were to 'design' the perfect cancer consultant for me, he would be a mirror image of Giles Davies. For the first time I understand the reality of the phrase 'patient driven' treatment. He is kind, upbeat, straightforward and understanding. Response to a referral is immediate, his secretary is understanding, and Mr.Davies even answers his own emails! I was fortunate indeed to have a negative diagnosis, but should I in the future need to be checked out again this is where you'll find me.

I first came across Giles in 2016 when he diagnosed my breast cancer very quickly, he then went on to do my surgery. I felt in capable hands which is what i needed at this very uncertain time in my life. He was not only great with me but also my husband who also needed reassurance. He has such a great way of being. I consulted Mr Giles Davies as an international patient in February 2019 on a lump in one of my breasts. Upon further medical investigations, he produced a treatment plan which proved very effective in the reduction of the lump before surgery, later in the year. He had open and transparent line of communication between he, myself and my local doctor back home which built trust and confidence in preparation for the surgery. The surgery was successful at conserving as much breast tissue as possible. The after effects were also minimal. I therefore highly recommend Mr Davies for his professionalism, empathy, coordination, skill and expertise.

I had a consultation with Mr Davies followed by a mammogram and ultrasound scan to determine the cause of changes in my breast. Giles Davies’ bedside manner is probably the best I have ever experienced. After having my first mammogram recently, I was asked to be sent for further tests and as such was referred to Mr Davies. I was understandably a little anxious, but Mr Davies made me feel completely at ease, and he was one of the nicest medical professionals I have dealt with. He gave me an overview of the mammogram results and his thoughts and also explained what the next tests would involve. These were conducted swiftly and professionally and I would have no hesitation, based on my experience, in recommending Mr Davies.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I elected to see Mr Giles Davies as a private patient at the New Victoria Hospital. I could not have made a better choice. Mr Davies is professional, knowledgeable and approachable. He took time to listen and address all my concerns and clearly explained the surgery options and potential follow-up treatments. As the surgeon, I was worried he would only consider the surgery, but he assured me all his patients have their treatment plans discussed by a multi-disciplinary team. Based on his advice, I chose to have a mastectomy with immediate breast reconstruction using my own body tissue ('tummy tuck'). This is a complex procedure requiring a plastic and breast cancer surgeon. Mr Davies recommended an excellent plastic surgeon and arranged the referral. The two surgeons successfully conducted the operation at the Royal Marsden Hospital (Chelsea). Even at the point of going under the general anaesthetic, Mr Davies was there to put me at my ease. After the operation, Mr Davies referred me to an oncologist for follow-up treatment which will be starting very soon. Of course, Mr Davies was not the only person who treated me, but he played a significant part by helping me make my decisions and seeing the whole process through from start to finish. Overall, I had a good and positive experience from an unwanted illness I had not expected. I have come through it and am pleased with the results of my surgery and looking forward to getting my life back.

He is clearly very knowledgeable but spoke slowly and clearly, always waiting to see that I had taken in the next piece of information. I had a very good experience when I saw Mr Davies. I had a skin tag on my nipple and he made me feel very comfortable and calm throughout my visit and the minor procedure to remove it. Mr Davies took great care to explain my breast-cancer surgery in laymen's terms and seemed to know how anxious and worried I was. He really did allay my fears without giving me any false hopes After the surgery I was almost pain-free which was remarkable, and I have almost recovered after only one week. As an out-patient, Mr Davies assured me of his success and described the next stage which is radiotherapy. He was very up to date with the latest research and opinions. Most impressive medically, but also very kind and caring. You could not have a better surgeon.

Mr Davies clearly and helpfully explained how the diagnosis and treatment of dcis have developed since I was treated for this condition in 2005/6. He also communicated the outcome of my follow-up mammogram in straightforward terms.

I was in the unusual position as a man of having a consultation on discomfort in the beast. Mr Davies was remarkably clear in his initial analysis of my problem which he did not think was cancer. However so as to be sure he had immediate mammogram ultrasound examinations arranged so that the results were available for discussion with him on the same morning. These confirmed his initial diagnosis and he described with great clarity the causes of my discomfort. I was greatly impressed by the clear exposition and thinking and also by the efficient back up arrangements.

Doctor Davis is unquestionably a brilliant doctor. He was very understanding, patient, professional and trust-able. Mr Giles Davis is a brilliant surgeon. I had a great consultation where he made me feel comfortable and also informed me about my condition (tubular Breast). I had been to see a few people and without a doubt felt that Mr Davis was the best choice I could have made. Not only did he cover all of the risks but also covered relevant research that has been brought out. I am so happy with my results and It was such a smooth process and procedure with him from the start.

Mr Davies provided an excellent service. He clearly knows his stuff and has a fantastic way of informing you of what needs to be done whilst being reassuring at the same time. The Bupa Breast Care Pathway is an excellent time saving use of services that ensures all the original diagnostic testing is completed in one go and in one location. This is a completely logical and sensible approach and should be rolled out across the NHS. As a patient, both Mr Davies and his service took all the stress out of the situation, I couldn't recommend him any more highly.

Mr Davies was extremely clear and caring at my appointment yesterday.He was able to explain to me something that had been worrying for years that no one else had an explanation for and gave total reassurance . He even has a great sense of humour which is very much appreciated! I highly recommend.

What an amazing doctor! He listened, with interest and understanding. Mr Davies took a detailed history before examining me and sending me for a mammogram and ultrasound. Thankfully, there was no need for further treatment, but the care I received was second to none. Given that my sister had recently had a mastectomy, Mr Davies reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. I would highly recommend him, for any problem you may have.

I would certainly recommend Mr Giles Davies. He did not launch straight into physical exams, but instead made me feel like a person by listening to me and explaining things from what he heard. This put me at ease and was very informative. I found him to be very thorough and patient and when I left after my investigations I knew I had a found someone I could return to, that I could trust, in the future. Being a healthcare professional myself, it is fair to say I probably needed more reassurance than someone else and this was all satisfied!

I saw Mr Davies after a routine mammogram showed up "something suggesting further investigation". It turned out to be nothing much but I was impressed with his reassuring manner and the effort he put into explaining clearly and putting me at ease.

I found Mr Davies to be approachable and reassuring. I was very distressed after finding a lump in my breast following surgery to remove another lump a number of years previously. Mr Davies took the trouble to obtain the histology report while I was there from this previous operation. He explained the histology report to me and set my mind at rest. Mr Davies gave me practical information about exercise and diet with a view to maintaining good health and good breast health. Following screening, I had a cyst drained and Mr Davies had a follow up chat with me to further reassure me.

Since first seeing Mr Davies he has made me feel comfortable and at ease. He has answered every question I've had, whilst giving me all the information that I needed to make the correct decision about the surgery that I wanted. Following a surgery with a different surgeon at a different hospital, which wasn't successful. Mr Giles Davies saw me to discuss a new surgical procedure. I am very happy with the way I was treated from start to finish. He was extremely approachable, easy to talk to and listened to me and asked a lot of questions. Mr Davies was extremely knowledgeable regarding my issue, and had a great 'bed side manner' which really put me at ease. He made me feel very confident in his ability and the procedure. I would highly recommend Giles Davis. He recently removed my hard and uncomfortable breast implants and gave me a breast uplift at the same time. He gave me confidence in the procedures along every step of the way - answered all my questions and also gave me excellent after care advice on how to reduce any potential scarring after the operation and the best type of post operative bra. He is a caring, professional and sympathetic listener who take on board exactly the best result for the individuals needs.

I made the very best decision of my life 3 months ago when I had breast implant surgery following highly informative and reassuring consultations with Giles Davies. I feel so lucky that Giles was recommended to me and so grateful for his sound advice and care. I am thrilled with the results and overjoyed every day at the transformation - unbelievably triple gel bras are history. I'd never been in hospital before but loved my stay at the New Victoria. The staff in particular were attentive, informative and caring. Food was great too. If you are thinking of having an uplift or implants but are unsure, do make that appointment with Giles - it could be life changing.

I would not hesitate to recommend Giles. Every appointment has been a positive experience with all options considered and discussed in great detail and everything explained clearly. Giles came up with a good solution for me which was a breast reduction which meant the tumour was removed at the same time. The op has been a success and I am very pleased with the results. Operation was performed by Giles and after care has been very good. I feel lucky to have had him recommended to me.

I found Mr. Davies and his team to be extremely knowledgeable, caring and reassuring throughout my treatment for breast surgery. I was particularly grateful for the swift reporting of results which allayed the anxiety associated with waiting. Following surgery I had minimal scarring and discomfort. I am 68 years old and have always wanted breast augmentation but have been to scared to go through with it. Giles Davies was recommended to me and at my initial consultation he took away away all my fears when he explained the procedure and answered all my questions without me even having to ask them. He gave me the reassurance and confidence to have surgery. I am so pleased with the result and would recommend Giles to anyone, especially to ladies of my age.

I was very fortunate to have Giles look after me at what was a very anxious time. He is very approachable and extremely easy to talk to. I think his personal experience with his mother having had breast cancer really puts him in a strong position. While having breast surgery for cancer I found Giles to be very calming! He has a great sense of humour, which really helped me to keep what I was going through in perspective, I don't want him to sound superficial, but he really made me feel understood and seemed to know intuitively how to be with me. When discussing the type of cancer I had, he explained everything very carefully and at no time did I feel he was in a rush to get to the next patient. He was completely with me at every step of the way. I have had to have various surgeries and Giles has always been very caring and totally open to all my concerns. He & his team are contactable all the time and always returns calls. His staff are absolutely amazing and I would not hesitate recommending him to any of my friends should they be in an unfortunate position to need breast surgery.

I would recommend anyone needing breast surgery to go Mr Davies. He is calm and kind, but also factual about your situation and structured in taking you through what might and what will need to happen. Nothing is rushed, you have time to ask questions and he gives you the confidence to face whatever may be ahead of you. Most of all he is a brilliant surgeon and extremely knowledgeable in the field of breast disease and it's treatment. I decided many years ago that if I ever needed breast surgery, Mr Davies would be the person I wanted to look after me. I was not disappointed.

Mr Giles Davies not only listens, he is willing to engage in a dialogue which is carefully adjusted to the sensitivity of the patient. His knowledge is wonderfully wide and varied; it is highly unusual to find a surgeon of his eminence in the 'conventional' treatment of breast cancer who is willing to hear the holistic side of the treatment protocols. He handled my case with great care and I did feel always I could not be in better hands. Most highly recommended.

I am an 18 year old who desperately needed a breast reduction, not only was i going through physical and medical issues, but mentally they were a really BIG problem in my life. Out of all the other doctors I'd seen the moment i saw Mr Davis i knew i met the right person. He cared so much and worked so hard to make sure that i was making the right decision for me, he even requested a one-on-one so we could get to know each other more so he could see what i really wanted out of the surgery. He made sure i had plenty of time to think about it, gave me a 2 week cooling off period before we went ahead and discussed the operation. On the day of the operation he was amazing, gave me nothing but smiles, made me laugh while he was doing the drawing and making his final measurements, which was so helpful as i was obviously so so worried and nervous! After the operation he made sure to go back to my room and tell my parents how everything went, even how much they removed. He was honestly amazing to them as well. Its been a week since my operation and he is still 100% there for me. I feared i had an infection, within less than 30 mins of contacting him i was in the hospital and being checked by amazing doctors because he was unable to be there, however he was on the phone and made sure that it was nothing. He always responds to a problem on the same day and I am so happy that i am in his caring hands. I can honestly say i am so glad i found him!! he has already changed my life for the better! I can't begin to explain how fantastic he was, and how understanding that we were self-paying and wanted to keep the cost low, he did all he could to accommodate to that. He also knew i had an important family reunion in August in Canada, he booked the surgery as soon as he possibly could to make sure I'm healthy enough to go. He is truly the man to go to!

Two weeks ago I had surgery at the New Victoria Hospital to replace ruptured breast implants, and at the same time to address a problem with unevenness between left and right breasts. The hospital was outstanding in every way and I was very happy with the way I was looked after by my surgeon Mr. Giles Davies. Because my condition was not life-threatening I had been afraid that it would not be considered seriously enough by many surgeons, and I did not want to be operated on by someone who spends most of their time doing noses or other unrelated plastic surgery. Even though Mr. Davies treats ladies with much graver breast surgery issues than mine, he nevertheless took my concerns very seriously and sympathetically and fully understood the importance of a successful operation to my overall well-being and self esteem and general quality of life. Mr. Davies recommended ‘teardrop’ implants for a more natural appearance and he made adjustments to rectify the unevenness that had resulted from the old operation. It is early days yet but the results look very promising so far. It will be six weeks before everything settles down and I can stop wearing the very restrictive ‘compression’ bra and assess the final result but I am delighted with the appearance at the moment. Mr. Davies is very easy to talk to, personable, highly professional and attentive, and as far as I can see an excellent and dedicated surgeon who understands women’s needs. I felt that I was in very capable hands and was able to go into the surgery with confidence. The nurses at the New Victoria were wonderful too.

Being diagnosed with breast cancer was a whirlwind, I went into Kingston Hospital with what I believed was a benign cyst, to be told that in addition to the cyst I had a 3cm tumour and calcifications throughout the breast which meant that I needed a mastectomy. Obviously this was an extremely scary period of time, Giles supported me throughout and really importantly, never pushed me into making a decision, letting me take all the time I needed to come to the right decision for me. Which in the end, turned out to be a double mastectomy and full reconstruction, completed in 3 operations with the final operation carried out at the New Victoria. There have been times when I thought I could never look normal again. I am happy to say that now I have reached the end of my treatment, I could not be happier both with how I look and how I feel, I look and feel like a woman again, but also with the treatment that I received. The final part was a nipple tattoo last week, now when I look in the mirror I think I might actually look better than I did before! I could not recommend Giles highly enough, he is kind and generous and also extremely talented. I will never be able to thank him enough.

I first met Mr Davies in Kingston Hospital when I was referred by my GP. After my mammogram and biopsy, he broke the news to me that I had breast cancer in my left breast . He was kind and gentle with me when I cried, allowing me time to adjust and ask questions. He explained why I needed a skin saving mastectomy, talked me through what to expect next, and arranged an appointment in a weeks time, when my husband could be included. Since then, I have been looked after by Mr Davies at the New Victoria, using Bupa. Since my first surgery in June for the skin saving mastectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy and immediate reconstruction with tissue expander, and more appointments for expansions, and more recently, my reconstruction and enhancement of my right breast, his care and expertise has been impressive. I always feel far more positive after seeing him, and know that I am receiving great care. I was recently buying my first pretty bra, after months of surgical bras and sports bras, and the Bra Fitting Lady couldn't quite believe how excellent my mastectomy was! It is taking a while for me to adjust to the new me, and I haven't found the courage to show my husband my new left breast, but my confidence is growing, and dressed, I look totally normal, with a good silhouette in a fitted top! Mr Davies can take all the credit! I have enjoyed Mr Davies gentle humour, his ability to explain investigations and procedures in normal language, and is ability to answer my sometimes repetitive questions. He has a excellent Breast Care Nurse, Denise, who I phone with my concerns. His Office Team are friendly and efficient. The New Victoria Hospital experience was good with excellent Nursing Care, and an excellent Anaesthetic Team. If I have one recommendation, it is for someone to invent a post operative adhesive strapping that doesn't hurt the skin as much as mine did!

I was diagnosed in Jan'15 and what I needed at that point was information and speed. From the moment I made the first appointment, I got exactly that from Giles and the great team at The New Victoria. With all the tests you undergo in the first few weeks, it's the waiting for results that really gets to you. But during that time, Giles provided information and recommendations so I was able to prepare ahead of time for decisions that would need to be made. I was lucky in that my condition meant a single mastectomy, and Giles recommended an interim saline implant that was then expanded after a few weeks by injecting saline through a 'tap' just under the skin. It sounds bizarre - and it is - but it wasn't painful. In June I had a second operation to fit my permanent implant, which felt a lot more natural and like it could be 'me'. Since then I've had a nipple reconstruction and am about to book in for my tattoo. It still all sounds very weird - but Giles does a great job of balancing between managing the serious stuff effectively - and recognising the humorous bits of this crazy situation we find ourselves in. He is always extremely professional, and ready to spend extra time to answer questions if needed. I have no hesitation in recommending Giles, and the fantastic team at The New Vic. I'll be forever grateful to them.

I wholeheartedly recommend Mr Davies. Following my diagnosis last year, he carried out my mastectomy and axillary node clearance and subsequently a breast reconstruction with which I am very pleased. It has been a very difficult period for my family and I, and he has been extremely supportive and helpful throughout. He is very friendly, genuine and caring as well as a very skilled surgeon, and has always been willing to talk through different options to achieve the best possible outcome for me. I have been a patient of Giles Davies since August 2012 and was recommended to him by a friend. He is totally honest, trust worthy and is a very caring person. He's also very reliable and punctual. He can be contacted at any time even when he was on holiday he was responding to my texts. He gives as much time as you need at your appointments and never do you feel rushed. He has performed 4 surgical procedures to date which have been successful, I would recommend him to anyone.

Mr Davies was extremely professional, personable and informative. Thankfully I did not have breast cancer but Mr Davies understood my concerns and re-assured me every step of the way. The whole procedure was conducted successfully and Mr Davies made sure my diabetes was controlled perfectly throughout. The scar is extremely neat and not at all unattractive ! I was impressed with Mr Davis, his secretary, and his whole team. I was made to feel relaxed and had no double I was in the best hands.

It has only been a few days since my cosmetic breast reduction operation and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Mr Giles Davies has done a meticulous job, it is really to perfection, I have very little swelling, full sensation in both breasts and can already comfortably walk around during the day. I can hardly believe it! The hospital staff were also most caring and Mr Davies's anaesthetist outstanding. I couldn't have wished for a better hospital experience and surgical result - thank you, Mr Davies!

Mr Giles has been great from the start - I found out one of my implants had ruptured (from previous surgery with a different surgeon). I was very concerned and Mr Davies put my mind at rest and discussed all options with me. On the day of the operation he went over what we'd discussed and had fully taken on board all my concerns/requirements. Following an implant exchange I'm delighted with the results and wouldn't hesitate in recommending him.
