Mr Peckar is a highly qualified ophthalmologist, specialising in cataracts and glaucoma surgery in Warrington. His private clinic can be found at Spire Cheshire Hospital, where he covers all areas of general ophthalmology, including cataracts, canaloplasty and corneal transplants.

He has won many awards, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award in May 2010 and the Pearce Medal UKISCRS in 2011. He has numerous publications, including three book chapters and has been technical editor of EuroTimes, a publication by the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
