Mr Mohammed Absar is a leading Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon based in Manchester, who is highly experienced in the management of breast cancer and difficult cases. His main area of interest is in oncoplastic breast conservation and breast reconstruction surgery. He provides a breast service for both benign and malignant breast conditions including cosmetic and corrective breast surgery.

Mr Absar graduated from Calcutta National Medical College in Eastern India and obtained his medical degree at the University of Calcutta in 1993. His postgraduate training in surgery and Masters in surgery was awarded by Utkal University in 1999. He obtained his fellowship in surgery (FRCS) from the Royal College of Edinburgh in 2001. Mr Absar completed his FRCS in general surgery in 2007. To enhance his oncoplastic skills, Mr Absar spent a year at the Addensbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

Mr Absar has published a number of papers in peer-reviewed journals and he regularly presents at national and international conferences.
