I feel very fortunate to have been recommended to see Dr Sporton. He has listened carefully and answered all my numerous questions and provided exactly the advice and degree of comfort I sought from a specialist further to my transient loss of consciousness. Dr Sporton carried out a small procedure for me very successfully and I am very grateful for the time and patience he has given me. Did cryo-ablation to treat my AF. Did it at Barts on the NHS. He was very brilliant. It's not a lovely procedure. I was awake for the whole 3 hours (you need to be for this procedure). That means you can and do talk to the doctor and nurses. I could see what was going on. His team were SO professional. They worked like a specialist unit, not like most of the teams you meet in the NHS, a bit shambolic. No, these guys were amazing. A year on the impact has been transformative. I've been free of AF since the operation (quickly touch wood). And I'm so incredibly grateful. Simon Sporton is really fantasic, he leads his team with kindness, efficiency and most of all professionalism.

I researched Dr Sporton for my partner that was symptomatic with WPW. Dr Sporton was so professional syringing our initial consultation and the time he took to explain my partners condition, the ECG trace and the procedure was above and beyond what we were expecting. He did not rush, ensured we understood and we instantly felt reassured.
It’s hard to write a review that encompasses reflection of an event but we are so happy we chose Dr Sporton.
The procedure for cardiac ablation was exemplary. Dr Sporton took the time to come and speak to me after the procedure and again, he was steady and so clear in his ‘update’ of his the procedure had gone.
Yes I would most definitely recommend Dr Sporton. He is knowledgeable beyond compare, professional, empathetic and outstandingly skilled. We cannot thank him enough.

Dr Sporton made a clear an accurate diagnosis of my condition. He is an expert in treatment of atrial flutter using catheter ablation procedure (a sublect on which he has written many technical papers and studies). My procedure took under two hours to complete under the direction of Dr Sporton and his team. The outcome has been a complete success and I am now back in training for the World Squash Masters 2021.

After one complete disaster with a consultant my son was referred to Dr. Sporton. He listened to us, took into consideration my son’s age, interests and life style. Never pressurised him into any procedure that my son was not happy with. Gave him choices and reassured him at all times. I could not recommend him more. We still don’t know how successful his last procedure has been but I know that Dr. Sporton will do everything to help my son.
